Each section has 40 questions of one mark each with sectional timings as shown below. Therefore each section should be given equal weightage in the RBI Assistant Mains preparation.

General AwarenessÂ
This section is the game changer one. Candidates must give enough time for the preparation of this section. You must aim to score at least 35+ in this section to be able to get through this fierce competition.
- This section will contain 40 questions and most of the questions will be from the current affairs section.
- Cover some banking related topics such as History of Banking – Indian context, first banks list, bank foundation years, merger and nationalization of banks.
- Cover RBI, SEBI, IRDAI and other Regulatory bodies which will include their role, when were they founded, name of the persons who hold important positions in these organizations.
- Topics such as Capital Markets, Money Markets, Inflation etc.

Computer Knowledge is one of the most section in your RBI Assistant Mains preparation. It could be the most scoring section for you if you prepare well for this section.

Candidates need to take note of the following points while preparing for the English section:
- Focus more on your reading skills because your overall reading comprehension can only be improved by regular reading.
- Brush up your grammar skills by revising the grammar rules regularly and attempting more grammar quizzes to understand the application of the rules.

Quantitative Aptitude
Quantitative Aptitude is an important part of the RBI Assistant mains preparation. Note the following points while preparing for this section:

- For clearing the Mains section, only fast calculations will not help you. You should be thorough with your concepts because without concepts you cannot clear the Mains of RBI Assistant.

Reasoning Ability
It can be a very unpredictable section because of the descriptive type of questions asked in the mains paper. Reasoning Ability plays an important role in the RBI Assistant Mains preparation. You can follow these points for the Reasoning section.
- Clear those topics from the basics in which you are facing difficulty.
- Attempt different types of Puzzles.
- Focus on those topics which are more predictable in the RBI Assistant Mains Paper such as Seating arrangement, Machine Input-output, Data Sufficiency.

This is the single most important thing which you cannot skip during your RBI Assistant Mains preparation. Especially, when your Mains exam is just a month away.Â
- Attempt at least one mock daily in the last month of your preparation.
- Look for your weak areas in the analysis part of your mock.
- Try to improve on your weakness on the same day.
- Attempt the next mock only after rectifying your mistakes in the previous mock.
- Stop giving mocks 2-3 days before the exam day so that you do not lose your motivation before the final day.
- Lastly, stay positive and give your best.
