ESIC UDC Exam Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for the ESIC recruitment drive, you should be well aware of the ESIC eligibility criteria laid down by the conducting body:
Nationality
As per the ESIC UDC Exam Eligibility, The candidates must be a citizen of India or can be subject to Nepal/Bhutan/ Tibetian. The candidate must possess an authorized document issued by the Government of India to be eligible for the exam.
ESIC UDC Age Limit
In order to be able to apply, the minimum age required for the UDC posts is 18 years and the upper age limit for the candidates is 27 years which means the age of the candidate must not be less than 18 and not more than 27 in order to be eligible for the exam of ESIC UDC post as per the ESIC UDC Exam Eligibility.
There is age relaxation for reserved categories:
- Age relaxation (as per ESIC UDC Exam Eligibility)
For SC/ST | Relaxation of 3 years |
For Other Backward Classes | Relaxation of 3 years |
For PwBD candidates of various categories | UR- 10 years, SC/ST- 15 years, and OBC- 13 years |
For Ex-Servicemen | UR- 3 years, OBC- 6 years and SC/ST- 8 years After deducting military service rendered from the actual age |
For ESIC Employees/government servant who has rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date of receipt of application | UR upto 40 years, SC/ST upto 45 years, and OBC upto 43 years |
For other categorise | In accordance with the orders from time to time. |

ESIC UDC Educational Qualification
ESIC Upper Division Clerk (UDC)
- Applicants applying for the post of UDC are required to hold a graduate degree from a recognized university.
- They should have a working knowledge of computer including the use of database and office suites.
For the post of Stenographer
The applying candidate must have passed 12th or any equivalent Intermediate academic course from a recognized Board of Education to be eligible for devious posts offered by the ESIC.
Skill Test Norms:
Dictation : 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute.
Transcription:Â 50 minutes (English), 65 minutes (Hindi), (Only on computers).
