advancement. Thermal engineers are among the most important contributors to a country’s growth. They work with heat management systems and help in designing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems (which include heat transfer) into different types of energy.

Malayalam filmmaker KP Kumaran has been honored with Kerala’s highest film award, the JC Daniel Award. Kumaran won the award for his contribution to the Malayalam film industry. The award comprises a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh, a citation, and a plaque.

E-commerce marketplace Flipkart announced it has inked a pact with the Bihar State Skill Development Mission to launch the initiatives of the Supply Chain Operations Academy (SCOA) in the state. The program involves a 60-day skilling initiative that aims to empower the youth to build careers in various aspects of supply chain management and certify them to increase their employability. The Centre’s policy think-tank NITI Aayog has made a case for setting up digital banks, which would accept deposits and advance loans through digital means, and suggested a licensing and regulatory framework for such lenders.
Such a bank would be different from the 75 Digital Banking Units (DBUs) — announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Union Budget 2022-23 — which are being set up to push digital payments, banking, and fintech innovations in underserved areas. Banks and fintech businesses that offer digital banking services rely primarily on digital channels that organically have high-efficiency metrics relative to incumbent commercial banks.

India dropped three spots globally for mobile speeds to rank 118 in June, with median mobile download speeds falling to 14.00 Mbps from 14.28 Mbps in May, according to Ookla’s Speedtest Global Index. According to the June Speedtest Global Index, Norway retained the top spot for overall global median mobile speeds, while Chile reclaimed the number one position from Singapore, which came in second for overall global fixed broadband speeds.

Under this, the eligible people will get cashless medical facilities at government-run institutions, medical colleges, and hospitals without any financial limit, and also, cashless medical facilities up to Rs 5 lakh will be available at hospitals under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Punjab government presented its maiden budget of ₹155,859.78 crores for 2022-2023 with no additional taxes and announced providing 300 units of free electricity to every household.
