- e-BG has been developed in consultation with NeSL, Central Vigilance Commission (CVC)Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) committee, and Indian Bank’s Association (IBA) to simplify the process and eliminate the possibility of fraud and manipulation.
- e-BG will be issued on the NeSL portal through an API-based digital workflow.

- The MoU was signed in the presence of Atanu Chakraborty, chairman, of HDFC Bank, and Ramesh Chand, a member of the Niti Aayog and the chairman of IEG.
- The bank will support IEG for this chair for over 5 years with funding support of ₹6.75 crores, with effect from 1 September 2022.
- IEG is widely recognized as a Center of Excellence, and one of India’s leading think tanks in the fields of economic and social development.
- It specializes in long-term research that encourages the faculty to develop deep expertise in an area.
