1). Discretion (Noun) — विवेक
Definition: the freedom to decide what should be done in a particular situation.
Synonyms: choice, option, judgement, preference, disposition, volition
Antonyms: indiscretion, rashness
Usage: local authorities should use their discretion in setting the charges
2). Oppression (Noun) – ज़ुल्म,उत्पीड़न
Definition: prolonged cruel or unjust treatment or exercise of authority.
Synonyms: persecution, abuse, maltreatment, ill treatment, tyranny, despotism, repression, suppression
Antonyms: freedom, democracy
Usage: a region shattered by oppression and killing
3). Prosecuting (Verb) — पर मुकदमा चलाना
Definition: institute or conduct legal proceedings against (a person or organization).
Synonyms: pursuit, achievement, performance, undertaking.
Antonyms: defeat, failure, neglect.
Usage: they were prosecuted for obstructing the highway
4). Allegation (Noun) — अभिकथन
Definition: a claim or assertion that someone has done something illegal or wrong, typically one made without proof.

7). Prosecutorial (Adjective) — अभियोजन
Definition: relating to the institution and conducting of legal proceedings against someone in respect of a criminal charge.
Synonyms: agent, inspector, analyst.
Antonyms: informer.
Usage: the government’s prosecutorial powers against suspected terrorists
8). Trumping (Verb) — तुस्र्प लगाना
Definition: surpass (something) by saying or doing something better.
Synonyms: outshine, outclass, upstage, put in the shade, eclipse, surpass
Antonyms: bad fortune, loss, disapproval.
Usage: if the fetus is human life, that trumps any argument about the freedom of the mother
9). Detrimental (Adjective) — हानिकारक
Definition: tending to cause harm.
Synonyms: harmful, damaging, injurious, hurtful, inimical, deleterious, dangerous, destructive, ruinous
Antonyms: benign, beneficial
Usage: recent policies have been detrimental to the interests of many old people
10). Catastrophe (Noun) – आपदा
Definition: an event causing great and usually sudden damage or suffering; a disaster.
Synonyms: disaster, calamity, cataclysm, crisis, holocaust, ruin, ruination, tragedy, blow, shock
