Selection process:

APPSC recruitment board has conducted the selection process in two stages.

•  Screening test
• Mains Examination

Screening Test: Objective Type

Note: 0.33 marks will be penalized for every wrong answer

• The screening test is a multiple choice objective type test.
• The Screening test consists of 2 sections

(1) General Studies & Mental Ability.

(2) Rural Development and Problems in Rural Areas with special reference to Andhra Pradesh.

• Both the sections are having the maximum of 75 questions each.
• So totally the examination will be conducted for 150 marks.
• There will be 0.33 negative mark will be implemented for every wrong answer.

Mains Examination:  Objective Type

Note: 0.33 marks will be penalized for every wrong answer

• Candidates those who qualify the screening test will be eligible to attend the 2nd stage as Mains Examination.
• Mains examination having an objective type multiple choice questions.
• This consists of 2 sections.

(1) General Studies & Mental Ability.

(2) Rural Development and Problems in Rural Areas with special reference to Andhra Pradesh.

• Both the sections are having 150 questions each.
• So totally the examination will be conducted for 300 marks.
• There will be 0.33 negative mark for every wrong answer.

The minimum qualifying marks for consideration of a candidate to the selection
process are 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs, and 30% for SCs, STs and PHs or as per
rules.
