- The total number of vacancies for Senior Resident / Tutor under Health Department (Government of Bihar) Posts in State Medical Colleges and Hospitals (for a tenure of 3 years) is 1797 vacancies.

BCECEB Bihar Health Department Recruitment 2021: Eligibility Criteria
- The minimum educational qualification for the posts of Senior Resident/ Tutor shall be a Master’s degree in the subject-specific.
- In case of a shortage of qualified candidates, the minimum educational qualification will be Diploma.
- 40% of posts of Senior Resident / Tutor will be filled from members of Bihar State Health Service cadre and 40% of posts will be filled from doctors who have completed post-graduate degree courses (under residency scheme) from medical colleges of the state.
- The remaining 20% ​​of posts will be filled by such doctors who have obtained a postgraduate degree (residency scheme) from recognized institutions outside the state.
