What is CET?
For conducting the CET (Common Eligibility Test), the government has named an agency called NRA. The NRA (National Recruitment Agency) will conduct the CET exams for various Central Government jobs. It will have representatives from the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Finance/Department of Financial Services, the SSC, RRB & IBPS. These representatives will decide the syllabus and pattern for the CET.
CET stands for Common Eligibility Test. It is a computer-based online test. Through CET, the NRA will aim to eliminate the Prelims exams conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), and Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). So, the aspirants instead of appearing for multiple examinations conducted by these agencies will have to appear for only one Prelims examination. However, the further process till the final selection will be conducted by the respective agencies.
Candidates should note that there will be separate examination and syllabus for Graduate-level, Senior Secondary level(12th pass), and Matriculate level (10th pass) jobs. Now the candidates are in confusion whether the CET will come into the role play for the upcoming bank & finance exams in 2021. In this confusion, many candidates are delaying their preparation. It is not a healthy mindset for the aspirants.

As per the government, the CET exams may not come into force suddenly. Still, the syllabus is not out. It will take some time to fix the syllabus and other processes.
