CET 2020: Common Eligibility Test 2020!!! Today our Central Finance Ministry has presented the union budget 2020 in parliament. With the on-going unemployment crisis in the country, our Ministry of Human Resource & Development(HRD) has suggested the process of Common Eligibility Test. Nowadays the recruitment process of every competitive exam has taken a long duration. So it was a very difficult situation for the candidates to wait for a result for more than 2 years. It burdens the candidate’s time as well as their career. To avoid such kind of things, our union government has proposed the theory of Common Eligibility Test(CET). This is a major reform for the recruitment of Non-Gazetted posts.
To implement this CET 2020 project, the government has proposed an agency called NRA(National Recruitment Agency). The NRA would work as an independent agency that conducts a common online computer-based test and will recruit the eligible candidates. As per the recent survey, 32.9% of unemployed youths are seen in the age group of 24-29 years.
Non-Gazetted Posts:
A person who is in a government post, don’t have any authority to issue an official stamp on the behalf of the government. That is said to be Non-Gazetted posts. The scores obtained in the CET shall be used to apply for the competitive exams instead of multiple levels of exams. The most common posts that come under the Non-Gazetted category are
Railway:
(i) RRB Group D
(ii) RRB NTPC (Group C)
SSC:
(i) SSC MTS
(ii) SSC JHT
(iii) SSC SGL
