CPRI Notification 2021: Eligibility Criteria

The interested candidates can check the eligibility criteria before applying for CPRI Recruitment 2021. The eligibility criteria include the Educational Qualification and the Age Limit a candidate should possess to apply for CPRI Recruitment 2021.

Educational Qualification:

Post Educational Qualification
Engineering Assistant 3 years Diploma with First Class in Electrical/Civil Engineering
Technician Gr.2 02 years ITI certificate in Electrician Trade
Assistant Gr. II (3a) A University Degree in Commerce / Business Administration/Business Management with First Class. English Typing speed of 30 words per minute on Computer.
Assistant Gr. II (3b) A University Degree in Arts / Commerce / Science / Management with First Class. Should have studied Hindi as one of the subjects at Degree Level. English Typing speed of 30 words per minute and Hindi Typing speed of 25 words per minute on Computer.
Stenographer Grade III A University Degree in Commerce / Business Administration/Business Management/Arts with First Class. Stenography with a speed of 80 words per minute and Typing speed of 30 words per minute in English.
MTS Grade 1 (Watchman) Ex-serviceman (Army/Navy/Air force) preferably with Class 10th Pass.

Age Limit:

CPRI Notification 2021: Experience Required

Post Experience Required
Engineering Assistant
5 Years post qualification experience in areas such as Supervision and assisting in Operation and Maintenance, Testing
of Electrical Equipments.
For Civil Engg:
5 Years post qualification experience in areas such as Supervision of Civil Works,
Knowledge of planning of civil projects such as collecting data, information,
estimation, tendering procedure, Day to
day supervision, coordination, maintenance of the estate, Knowledge of
a statutory requirement like Contract Labour (R&A) and related issue.
Technician Gr.2
5 years of post-qualification experience in the Electrician Trade.
Assistant Gr. II (3a)
3 years of post-degree experience in areas such as Finance & Accounts, Establishment & Administration, etc.
Assistant Gr. II (3b)
3 years of post-degree experience.
Stenographer Grade III
3 years of post-degree experience in Secretarial Practice, Stenography, Noting, Drafting, Typing, etc.

CPRI Notification 2021: Salary

Engineering Assistant – Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400

Technician Gr.2 – Rs. 21,700– Rs.69,100

Assistant Gr. II (3a) – Rs. 25,500 – Rs.81,100

Assistant Gr. II (3b) – Rs. 25,500 – Rs.81,100

Stenographer Grade III – Rs. 25,500 – Rs.81,100

MTS Grade 1 (Watchman) – Rs. 18,000 – Rs.56,900

CPRI Notification 2021: Selection Procedure

Engineering Assistant:

  • The eligible shortlisted candidates will be called for OMR based MCQ Test. The final selection will be based on their performance in the MCQ test and academic merit.
  • The weightage for the purpose will be 50% each in respect of Academic Merit & Marks scored in the MCQ test.

Technician Gr.2:

  • The eligible candidates will be called for OMR based MCQ test and Trade test.
  • The final selection will be based on their performance in the MCQ test subject to qualifying in the Trade test.
  • Trade test will be gone- no-go basis. For the candidates who qualify in the Trade test, empanelment shall be done based on MCQ test merit.
  • Qualifying in the Trade test is mandatory for selection.

Assistant Gr. II (3a):

  • The eligible shortlisted candidates will be called for OMR based MCQ test and skill test.
  • The final selection will be based on their performance in the MCQ test and Academic merit (i.e. 50% each) subject to their qualifying in skill test.

Assistant Gr. II (3b):

  • Candidates will be shortlisted and called for a skill test.
  • Computer typing tests will be purely go-no-go basis.
  • From amongst the candidates who qualify in the Computer Literacy test, empanelment shall be done based on the MCQ test and Academic merit (i.e. 50% each).
  • Qualifying in Typing test is mandatory for Selection.

Stenographer Grade III:

  • The eligible shortlisted candidates will be called for OMR based MCQ test and skill test.
  • The final selection is based on their performance in the MCQ test and Academic merit (i.e. 50% each).
  • The stenography test (80 wpm) & Computer Typing Test (30 wpm in English) will be the purely go-no-go basis.
  • From amongst the candidates who qualify in the Stenography test and Computer Typing Test, empanelment shall be done based on the MCQ test and Academic merit (i.e. 50% each). Qualifying in Stenography test & Computer Typing Test is mandatory for Selection.

MTS Grade 1 (Watchman):

  • The eligible short-listed candidates will be called for the MCQ test and those who qualify in the test are ranked for selection based on Physical test and experience.
  • The physical test is qualifying in nature. Qualifying in the physical test is mandatory for Selection.

Probation Period:

  • Probation for all the posts will be initially for a period of 2 years.
