Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways plan to build a National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) at the site of the Indus Valley civilization in Lothal, Gujarat. The foundation stone for the NMHC project was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the consent for the master plan was given in March 2019.
In phase 1A, a museum will be built with 5 galleries and a naval gallery on 35 acres of land at an investment of ₹774.23 crores. In phase 1B, the remaining portions of the museum will be built, including galleries, a lighthouse, a 5D dome theatre, Bagicha Complex, and other infrastructure.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between India and Madagascar for the training of diplomats. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Madagascar Foreign Affairs Minister Richard Randriamandrato and Ambassador Abhay Kumar signed the MoU between the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service and the Foreign Affairs Ministery of Madagascar.
This MOU is a step towards realizing our common vision of SAGAR Security and Growth For All in the Region and also aims for enhancing cooperation between our two countries in the crucial arena of training diplomats. It will also encourage the exchange of information and content of training programs for diplomats.

The Vedanta-Foxconn group under the MoU will set up a Display Fab Unit in Gujarat with an investment of Rs 94,500 crore as well as an integrated Semiconductor Fab Unit and OSAT facility in Gujarat with an investment of Rs 60,000 crore. National Engineer’s Day is observed every year on September 15. The day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of engineer statesman Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, a diwan of the former Mysore kingdom who is credited with pioneering engineering achievements.
