Abdul Aziz Muhamat, a Sudanese refugee who has been on Manus Island in Papua New Guinea (PNG), for more than five years, was named the 2019 Martin Ennals Award Laureate at a ceremony in Geneva for exposing “the very cruel refugee policy” of Australia’s government.
