Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs has released the notification for the engagement of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer(ACIO) post. A total of 2000 vacancies were announced. Numerous applicants have applied and appeared for the selection process. The selection process is based on Tier 1, Tier 2 (Descriptive) & Interview. The IB ACIO Tier 1 exam was successfully held from 18th, 19th & 20th February 2021. Almost the IB ACIO Tier 1 exam was over. The exam was conducted at the national level in various exam centres. IB ACIO 2021 Tier-2 Exam: IB ACIO Tier-2 Written Exam will be a descriptive paper of 50 marks
IB ACIO 2021 Interview: On the basis of their combined performance in Tier-I and Tier-II, the candidates would be shortlisted for the Interview. The candidates will be called for the interview round in the ratio of 1:5. The candidate secures a minimum of 33% marks (17 out of 50) in the Tier-II exam.
IB ACIO 2021 Final Selection: Based on the combined performance in Tier-I, Tier-II, and Interview, the candidates would be shortlisted for final selection subject to their Character and Antecedent verification followed by medical examination, etc.
In the event of a tie in combined scores of candidates in the Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III, such cases will be resolved by applying the following criteria, one after another, till the tie is resolved:
a) Marks in Tier-III
b) Marks in Tier-II
c) Normalized Marks in Tier-I
d) Date of birth, with older candidates placed higher.
e) Alphabetical order of names (starting with the first name)
