Answers :

1) Answer: a)

The share of A, B and C = [36000*12] : [54000*12] : [48000*8]

= > 432000 : 648000 : 384000

= > 18 : 27 : 16

According to the question,

(18’s – 16’s) = 8000

2’s = 8000

1’s = 4000

Total profit = 61’s = 61*4000 = Rs. 244000

85 % of total profit = 244000*(85/100) = Rs. 207400

2) Answer: d)

T= D/ S

Two trains running in opposite direction, so,

Relative Speed = S1 + S2 = 60 + x (Let speed of second train be x)

10 = (200 + 150)/ ((60 + x)*(5/18))

10*(60 + x)*5 = 350*18

60 + x = 126

X= 126 – 60 = 66 km/hr

3) Answer: a)

The difference between CI and SI for two years is,

Diff = P*(r/100)2

= > 3600 = P*(15/100)2

= > 3600 = P*(3/20)2

= > 3600 = P*(9/400)

= > P = Rs. 160000

SI = (P*n*r)/100 = (160000 * 8 * 6)/100 = Rs. 76800

4) Answer: d)

Discount % = 20 %, Profit % = 25 %, MP = 6000

According to the question,

MP*(80/100) = CP*(125/100)

6000*(80/100)*(100/125) = CP

CP = Rs. 3840

5) Answer: b)

Let the number of men be x,

Work = men*days

Here work is equal. So,

60*x = (x + 12)*50

60x = 50x + 600

10x = 600

X = 60

Direction (6-10) :
