  • Central Excise Day of India is celebrated every year on February 24.
  • The Government of India has organised the Polio National Immunization Day 2022 (NID) (also known as ‘’Polio Ravivar”) on February 27, 2022, to give two drops of oral polio vaccine (OPV) to every child in the country under the age of five.

  • According to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MoNRE), Tamil Nadu (TN) has achieved the first position in overall installed renewable energy capacity in India surpassing Karnataka.
  • The Government of India(GoI) announced the purchase of 44.4 million tonnes (MT) of wheat and 4.29 MT of rabi-grown rice during 2022-23 under the minimum support price (MSP) programme.
  • On February 24, 2022, the Acquisition Wing of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) signed a contract for Rs 1075 crore with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) for the retro-modification of Commander Sight in 957 India’s premier Battle Tanks i.e T-90 of the Indian Army.

  • India has been ranked at 43rd in the 2022 International Intellectual property (IP) Index released by the Global Innovation Policy Center of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce out of 55 countries, meanwhile the United States topped with a score of 95.48%.

  • The indigenously developed manned underwater submersible automobile able to take three people to a depth of 6,000 m, Matsya 6000, can be prepared as initially deliberate for its launch in 2024 for the Samudrayaan Mission & it is designed by the ISRO and developed by the the Ministry of Earth Sciences and NIOT, Chennai, beneath the aegis of Deep Ocean Mission.

  • Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has launched the book titled “A Nation To Protect” authored by Priyam Gandhi Mody.
  • The book, “A History of Sriniketan: Rabindranath Tagore’s Pioneering Work in Rural Construction“, is written by historian and Tagore biographer Uma Das Gupta, it explores Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s work for rural reconstruction by setting up ‘Sriniketan’, a wing of his Visva Bharati International University at Santiniketan in 1922.
  • A new book titled “The Founders: The Story of Paypal and the Entrepreneurs Who Shaped Silicon Valley”, authored by author Jimmy Soni and published by Simon & Schuster released soon.
  • Indian author, Anirudh Suri has come out with his new book titled “The Great Tech Game” Shaping Geopolitics and the Destinies of Nations.
  • A new book titled “Udaan Ek Majdoor Bachhe Ki” about Captain AD Manek was authored by Mithilesh Tiwari and was released by the famous Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
  • Former Indian Army Captain, Deepam Chatterjee, has authored a new book titled “The Millennial Yogi: A modern-day parable about reclaiming one’s life”.
  • The Union Minister of State for Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Nityanand Rai released six books published by the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) in New Delhi.
