  • Union Minister Giriraj Singh announced the government’s ambitious target of achieving a cotton yield of 1,000 kilograms per hectare across 11 top cotton-producing states in India

  • Assam Chief Minister (CM) Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the government’s target to eradicate child marriage in Assam by 2026.

  • The Bihar government will establish the Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary (KWLS) as the state’s second tiger reserve.
