Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2019: Educational Qualification
As per the prescribed educational qualification given by the recruitment board candidates should have Matriculation or equivalent and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics and Telecommunication (Radio/ Power) Engineering approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) with 60% in aggregate.
Indian Coast Guard Vacancy: Selection Process
The board will select the eligible candidates based on the following methods.
(i) Written Test
(ii) Physical Efficiency Test(PFT)
The PFT will consist of under:
- 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes
- 20 squat ups (Uthak-Baithak)
- 10 Push-ups
(iii) Medical Examination
a) Height: Minimum height 157 cms. Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the Central Govt. orders.
(b) Chest: Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
(c) Weight: Proportionate to height and age +10% acceptable.
(d) Hearing: Normal
(e) Fitness Level: No Cardio-vascular disease, surgical deformities like knock knee, flat feet, etc. infection of ears, no history of fits or psychiatric ailment, varicose vein, undergone corrective surgery for eyesight, etc are not eligible
(f) Visual Standards: 6/24 without glasses and 6/9 & 6/12 with glasses for Better Eye
and Worse Eye respectively.
(g) Tattoo(s): Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body.
Indian Coast Guard Yantrik: Final Enrollment of Medical Examination
Initial Medical Examination for recruitment will be considered only “Provisionally fit subject to fitness in the final medical examination.” The Final Medical Examination of all selected candidates will be done at INS Chilka. Candidates those who are NOT found medically fit in the final medical examination at INS Chilka, will NOT be enrolled for training.
Indian Coast Guard Job: Pay Scale
Selected candidates will receive the Pay scale of Rs.47,600/- plus Yantrik pay @ Rs.6,200/-with Dearness Allowance (7th pay commission implementation).
