Life Insurance Corporation of India conducts an exam every year to recruit eligible candidates for the post of  LIC Apprentice Development Officer (ADO). LIC ADO Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates should fulfill the eligibility criteria to get selected as a LIC Apprentice officer. Check below the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria are framed in 3 sections namely

(i) Nationality

(ii) Age Limit

(iii) Educational Qualification

(i) Nationality:

A candidate must be either:

(a) a citizen of India, or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d), and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

• A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after, the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him/ her by the Government of India.

Age limit:

The minimum & maximum age limit for the candidates applying for the exam should be:

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years

1. Go to the LIC ADO Careers page and read the instructions carefully.
2. On the LIC Careers page, click the respective link which is enabling for LIC ADO Online Apply, the link will open in a new window.
3. Click the New Registration, fill in your name, date of birth, email id, and password, and then submit the first stage of the application.
4. After that you will have to receive the registration id, using the registration id and password you can log in and continue the other stage for registration.
5. In the Next stage of Registration, fill your LIC ADO eligibility details like Age, qualification, and upload your photograph, signature in the appropriate size.
6. Finally, check all the details which you have to enter into the LIC ADO Application and click the submit button.
7. After that, pay the LIC ADO Application fee of the respective category through an online mode only.
8. After making your application fee payment you will receive a confirmation message for successfully applied for LIC ADO 2020 Exam.

• The applicant has to put his left thumb impression on a white paper with black or blue ink.

Hand-written declaration:

• Handwritten declaration content is to be as expected.
• Handwritten declaration should not be written in CAPITAL LETTERS.
• The applicant has to write the declaration in English clearly on a white paper with black or blue ink.

LIC ADO Selection Process:

The Exam conducted by the LIC is of three stages:

1. Written test: Computer-based test conducted in two phases.
   • Phase 1: Preliminary Exam
   • Phase 2: Mains Exam

• It consists of 3 sections
• 0.25 negative mark is applicable for every wrong answer.

• English section is just as qualifying in nature. You just have to get the prescribed marks from the board.
• Phase-I score will not be considered for the final selection

Personal Interview:

The candidates who qualify from the cut-off are eligible for the Interview process. The Interview is for 37 marks and it includes aptitude and reasoning questions to check the thinking ability of the aspirant.

Medical Exam: 

A medical test is conducted for the shortlisted candidates, before releasing the merit list. Only candidates who clear the medical test will be selected for the post of LIC Apprentice Development Officer.

LIC ADO Pre-Exam Training:

PRE-EXAM TRAINING FOR SC/ST/OBC CANDIDATES:

There is a provision for pre-exam training for SC/ST/OBC candidates. SC/ST/OBC candidates who wish to avail the benefit of pre-exam training should exercise the option while registering the on-line application.

Those SC/ST/OBC candidates who have opted for pre-exam training while registering on-line application may contact Sr. Divisional Manager of Life Insurance Corporation of India of that Divisional Office to which the candidate has applied within one week of the last date of submission of online application. The Divisional Office will inform the registered candidates, the date and venue of the training. Such candidates would have to attend the training at their own cost on the appointed dates and at the venue advised to them. Candidates are required to refer to the website under the tab “Careers” for the address of the Divisional Offices of LIC.

LIC ADO Admit Card:

LIC Apprentice Development Officer results will be released on the official website by the Railway recruitment board. Results will be published in PDF format, candidates can download their result by entering their registered user ID and password.

LIC ADO Cut Off: Phase I

• LIC ADO Phase 1 exam will be consisting of 100 marks.
• The phased I consists of Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Ability, and English.
• Weightage of Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude comprises of 35 marks while the English sections comprise of 30 marks.
• The cutoff for the Prelims exam will be calculated only by considering the Reasoning and Quantitative Ability.
• The English section is only qualifying in nature.
• Candidates equal to 20 times as that of the number of vacancies in each category will be called for the main examination.

LIC ADO Phase-II Cut Off:

• LIC ADO Phase-II exam will be conducted in online mode.
• The exam consists of 150 marks and will be consisting of three sections.
• The merit list for LIC ADO Cut off for the second stage will be released in both sectional and overall.
• Candidates should try to secure as much as possible in order to make sure that they get shortlisted for interview.

LIC ADO Cut Off for Phase III

• The third and last stage is the interview process.
• Those candidates who will be able to secure minimum qualifying marks will be called for this final round of tests.
