As per the prescribed educational qualification given in the official notification, candidates should possess a Full-time bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology/AMIE with not less than 65% marks, as per the respective institute/university norms.

Final year semester students are also eligible to apply, subject to obtaining at least 65% marks in engineering degree. A candidate with the prescribed degree identified for the disciplines as given below can only apply for the post of EET in the respective discipline.

NTPC Recruitment Through GATE 2020: Selection Procedure

• The board will conduct the selection process based on the GATE 2020 Marks and requirement, candidates will be shortlisted for the further selection process(GD & Interview).
• The final merit list will be prepared based on 85% weightage of GATE-2020 marks, 5% weightage of GD marks, and 10% weightage of Interview marks.
• However, candidates should qualify the GD & Interview separately.
• GATE-2020 marks is only valid for ET-2020 Recruitment.

NTPC Engineering Executive Trainee Salary 2020:

The selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of 50,000 – 1,60,000/- at the basic pay of Rs. 50,000/- during one year training period. The other benefits such as Dearness Allowances, other perquisites, and allowances and terminal benefits, etc will be admissible as per the company rules in force from time to time during training/after absorption.
