PNB Commemorates 128th Foundation Day: Launches Cardless Cash Withdrawal facility.

- To honor its illustrious legacy of 127 years of service to the nation, Punjab National Bank (PNB) announced the launch of Cardless Cash Withdrawal and Virtual Debit Card, along with a range of other select digital services on its mobile app named PNB One, for safe banking transactions.

- The new services were launched by Shri Atul Kumar Goel, MD & CEO of PNB, at the Bank’s head office in New Delhi, in the presence of Executive Directors – Shri Vijay Dube, Shri Swarup Kumar Saha and Shri Kalyan Kumar, along with Vijay Kumar Tyagi – Chief Vigilance Officer of the Bank, CGMs, senior officials and other bank staff.
- During the celebrations, PNB launched various digital initiatives such as Insta Personal Loan to Pensioners, Application Supported by Blocked Amount (ASBA) facility on PNB One App, PNB 360 Information Portal for employees, Trade Finance Redefined Portal and Collection of loan EMI through Bharat Bill Pay.
- The Bank also felicitated its valued customers Shri Mahesh Gupta, MD of Kent RO Systems, Shri Shivraj Kundu – M.D. of K.C.C. Buildcon, Madhu Sudhan Bhageria – Chairman & MD of Filatex India, along with top performers of PNB Parivar.
Cardless cash withdrawal facility:
- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) recently announced the introduction of cardless cash withdrawal facility for secure transactions.
- In this, users can withdraw cash from ATMs without debit and credit cards. Through this, it will help in preventing fraud from the card. The Reserve Bank had informed that cardless cash withdrawal can be done with the help of mobile authentication.
CSR initiative – Vidyanjali:
- Under its CSR program that focuses on strengthening the quality of education in government schools, PNB distributed basic school essentials to Govt. Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Matiala (Delhi) and Govt. Co-ed SS school in Dwarka (Delhi). This initiative was in line with the Government of India’s nationwide campaign Vidyanjali initiative under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which aims to strengthen schools through community, CSR, and private sector involvement.
PNB expands its digital product offerings
Insta Personal Loan to Pensioners:Â
- Customers who depend on their pensions can now avail PNB’s 24×7 Insta Personal Loan digital service to get hassle-free loans up to Rs 8 lakh anytime, anywhere, thus saving time and travel to the branch.
Collection of loan EMI through Bharat Bill Pay System (BBPS):
- Customers can now directly repay their PNB Bank loan EMIs from any bank’s account through Internet Banking/ Mobile Banking having BBPS functionality.
- Customers are also being provided with an option on Bank’s Corporate Website to repay EMIs of loan accounts maintained with PNB through internet banking, Debit Card and UPI of any bank
Trade Finance Redefined Portal:
- An advanced platform that will facilitate customers to initiate trade transactions online.
- The platform offers a user-friendly interface for a quick submission of transactions, a calendar with highlighted due dates, real-time on-screen display of the dashboard as some of the many features.
PNB 360:
- This portal shall be a one-stop information repository for the day-to-day operational requirements of branches and administrative offices.
- It will offer a 360-degree user-friendly view of the business figures and compliance status on various parameters at the click of a button.
Application Supported by Blocked Amount (ASBA) facility on PNB One app:Â
- PNB will now offer the Application Supported by Blocked Amount facility on its mobile banking platform, PNB One, with the aim to offer a paperless, time-efficient, and customer-friendly approach for 24×7 IPO applicants. This feature is the first of its kind to be introduced by PNB

PNB launches co-branded contactless credit cards with Patanjali in partnership with RuPay
- Punjab National Bank (PNB) and Patanjali Ayurved Limited (PAL) have launched co-branded contactless credit cards in partnership with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
- The co-branded credit cards are offered on NPCI’s RuPay Platform and are available in two variants – PNB RuPay Platinum and PNB RuPay Select.
PNB acquires 6 per cent stake in public digital e-commerce platform.
- Public sector lender Punjab National Bank on Thursday said it has acquired nearly 6 per cent stake in public digital e-commerce platform ONDC for Rs 10 crore.
- Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) is an initiative of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to promote open networks for all aspects of the exchange of goods and services over digital networks.
IDRCL: stakes of canara bank, SBI, PNB, union bank reduced to 5%
- Four public sector lenders — State Bank of India, Canara Bank, Punjab National Bank and Union Bank of India said their stakes in India Debt Resolution Company Ltd (IDRCL) have come down to 5 per cent each.
- PNB’s stake came down from 11.8 per cent while Union Bank’s holding reduced from 12.30 per cent in the debt resolution company.
PNB Celebrates Women’s Day, launches women-centric health insurance policies
- On International Women’s Day, Punjab National Bank (PNB) organized a felicitation ceremony at its headquarter in Delhi and launched women-centric health insurance policies.
- The Bank facilitated successful women from different walks of life and encouraged a packed house of female employees at the ceremony to take inspiration and carve their niche
PNB launches ‘6S Campaign’ under customer outreach programme
- Punjab National Bank has launched a ‘6S Campaign’ encapsulating different schemes such as – Swabhiman, Samruddhi, Sampark and Shikhar, Sankalp and Swagat.
- The objective is to drive a special awareness campaign for the development of financial services in the country and to accelerate credit growth, improve penetration of social security schemes and drive digital banking push.
World Consumer Rights Day: PNB launches several initiatives for Improved Customer Service
- World Consumer Day is celebrated every year on March 15 to mark the sovereignty and supremacy of the rights and needs of the consumers and highlights their unqualified claim to a fair and just treatment.
- The event also marked the launch and circulation of collaterals for improved customer service and customer ease with thrust on promoting digital agenda and providing access to a plethora of digital banking services.
- Grahak Sewa is one such initiative, which is an in-house escalation matrix for the branches and field staff, to provide better customer service through expeditious customer grievance redressal, reduced TAT and faster resolution of customer complaints.
- Customer EASE is another initiative to streamline the process of account opening so as to deliver a superior customer experience.
- Sanchay is the third initiative to layout and empower the workforce on all the digital offerings by PNB. In line with this, the bank has launched podcasts around digital offerings and released a set of videos for the capstone PNB One application to enable customers to make the most out of it.
- The Bank also launched a booklet on Door Step Banking highlighting the different services being offered for the benefit of the customers like new cheque book delivery against requisition slip, Form 15G/H Delivery & Pick up, life certificate pickup, cash deposit & withdrawal within certain limit among other services.
