Answers:

Direction (1-5):

Explanation:

  • The one person who lives lowermost floor has 20 chocolates.
  • Bharu lives between Watson and the one who lives immediately below the vacant floor.
  • The vacant floor is an odd numbered floor.
  • Bharu lives immediately below the floor Dinesh lives.
  • Hence Dinesh lives immediately below the vacant floor.
  • From above conditions, vacant floor is either floor number 5 or floor number 7.
  • Now we have 2 Cases.

  • Virat lives immediately below Aman.
  • Aman does not live either lowermost or topmost floor.
  • From the condition Case 1 was dropped.
  • Aman lives either fllor number3 or floor number 2.
  • Sharu lives either floor number 1 or floor number 3.
  • Here case 2 derive further two cases-2a and 2b.

  • Viart has 4 chocolates more than the chocolate Aman has.
  • In case 2(b) Virat has 20 chocolates.
  • Hence Aman has 16 chocolates.

  • The number of chocolates does Watson has more than 17 and less than 24.
  • Dinesh and Watson has the number of chocolates is in prime number.
  • From the condition Watson has either 19 or 23 chocolates.
  • But Bharu has maximum number of chocolates but is not 24.
  • Then Watson has 19 chocolates.
  • The one who lives immediately below the vacant floor has 6 chocolates less than the chocolate Bharu has.
  • Hence Bharu has either 21 or 22 or 23.
  • Difference between chocolates of Dinesh and Bharu is 6. But Dinesh has prime number of chocolates.
  • From above statement, the number of chocolates in the floor is either multiple by 4 or prime number.
  • Therefore Bharu has 23 chocolates.
  • 23-6=17 is a prime number.
  • Hence Dinesh has 17 chocolates.

  • Sharu has more number of chocolates than Aman.
  • Bharu has maximum number of Chocolates.
  • 16>Sharu<23.
  • The number of chocolates in the floor is either multiple by 4 or prime number.
  • No two persons have same number of chocolates.
  • From the condition Case 2(b) was dropped.

  • The difference between the number of chocolates having by Aman and Bharu is not 19.
  • The difference between the number of chocolates having by Aman and Dinesh is neither 3 nor 5.
  • Virat has 4 chocolates more than compare to Aman.
  • Minimum number of chocolates is not less than 8.
  • Therefore the possibility of virat is 16, 13 and 12.
  • Let’s assume Virat has 16 chocolates means Aman has 12 chocolates.
  • But Dinesh has 17. Differnce between Aman and Dinesh is 5.
  • It’s not satisfied the above condition.
  • Then Virat has 13 means Aman has 9. Nine is not a prime number and not divided by 4. Condition is not satisfied.
  • Let assume Virat has 12 chocolates means Aman has 8 chocolates.
  • The difference between the number of chocolates of Aman and Bharu is not 19.
  • The difference between the number of chocolates of Aman and Dinesh is neither 3 nor 5.
  • Above the conditions are satisfied.

  • Only one person appointed between F and the one who got the job in Indian bank.
  • F appointed in the month which has more than 30 days.
  • Hence F appointed either in March or October.
  • Now we have 2 cases

  • Both G and C appointed in the months after the one who got the job from Indian bank.
  • G appointed immediately before C.
  • So, Case 2 was dropped.
  • But case 1 derived 2 cases

  • Only two persons appointed between G and the one who got the job in UCO bank.
