Ashok lives on one of the floors above Uday but not on floor numbered 4. Number of persons living between Uday and Surya is as same as the number of persons living between Bharat and Karthick. Seven Friends – A, B, C, D, E, F and G are going to Tamil Nadu in different days of a week Monday to Sunday. Each of them goes to different district of Tamil Nadu, viz. Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Salem, Trichy and Coimbatore, but not necessarily in the same order.

F goes on one of the days after C but not on Sunday. The one who goes on Friday goes to Madurai. E is going to Virudhunagar but not on Monday. D goes on Saturday and is not going to Salem. The one who goes to Coimbatore goes on Tuesday. G is going to Trichy and goes on one of the days before C. B neither goes to Coimbatore nor Salem.   • Now case 1 was dropped.

From above the condition we get two possibilities in Case 2

  • C goes on Wednesday neither to Salem nor Tuticorin, hence C going to Tirunelveli.
  • B does not go to Coimbatore and Salem.
  • D goes on Saturday and is not going to Salem.
  • From the above condition Case 2(a) and Case 2(b) was dropped.
  • From Case 1, we can conclude that D is going to Tuticorin.
  • A going to Coimbatore and F going to Salem.
