Candidates those who are appearing in IBPS Clerk Main Exam can practice these Quantitative Aptitude Average questions daily and make your preparation effective.
Direction (1-5) Study the following information carefully and answer the given questions:
The table shows the number of balls in three different colours, then one ball is taken from each box and given the probability of getting one green colour ball.
Box name | White balls | Green balls | Black balls | Probability of getting one green ball |
Box 1 | 15 | 10 | _ | 1/5 |
Box 2 | 12 | _ | 12 | 2/5 |
Box 3 | 10 | 15 | _ | 1/3 |
Box 4 | _ | 10 | 16 | 1/5 |
Box 5 | 15 | _ | 15 | 2/5 |
Note: Find the missing values in the given table
Q.1) If 2x number of green balls taken from box 1 and placed it into box 3, again 5x number of black balls taken from box 3 and placed it into box 1. If we pick one ball from box 3 then the probability of that ball is white ball is 5/21, then find the value of ‘x’
Q.2) If all the balls of box 2, box 3 and box 5 is placed into box 6 and some white balls taken and placed it into box 4. If we pick three balls in box 4 then the probability of one green ball is always there and 2 whiteballs is 29/99, then find the number of white balls taken from box 6
Q.3) If two balls are taken from either box 2 or box 3, what is the probability of getting at least one black ball?
Q.4) If three balls are taken from box 2, what is the probability of getting one green ball in box 2 or one black ball?
Q.5) If two balls are taken from box 1 or box 5, what is the probability of getting both are white balls?
Direction (6-10) Study the following graph and answer the given questions:
Name of the person | Total number of handshakes | A person and his wife together complete the whole work | Duplicate efficiency ratio of a person to his brother |
Vijay | 190 | 12 | 9:16 |
Vinoth | 435 | 10 | 4:9 |
Shanmu | 276 | 8 | 25:36 |
Dinesh | 66 | 8 | 25:4 |
Gokul | 105 | 10 | 16:25 |
Person ‘Vijay’ organises a party ‘x’ men handshaking with each other and the total number of handshakes given in the table. Find the value of ‘x’, which is the time taken by P alone complete the whole work.
Similarly find all the persons individual work and answer the given questions.
Note: In a family consists of a person, his wife and his brother only.
Q.6) If Vijay, Vinoth, Shanmu’s wife and Gokul’s brother started working together, after 2 days Vinoth and Shanmu’s wife left and Dinesh’s wife joins with them, how many days required to complete the whole work?
Q.7) Gokul, Shanmu’s brother and Vinoth’s wife are there in a team. What is the minimum number of days required to complete the work If not more than 2 people among them work on the same day and no 2 consecutive days have the same pair of people working?
Q.8) Dinesh’s family works on first day, Shanmu’s family works on second day and Vinoth’s family works on third day. This process is repeated until the work is completed. How many days are required to complete the whole work?
Q.9) Vijay’s wife, Shanmu’s brother and Vinoth’s wife started working together, Vinoth’s wife left 2 days before the work is completed and Gokul joins with them 2 days before the work is completed. How many days are required to complete the whole work?
Q.10) If all the persons efficiency is decreased by 20%, their wife’s efficiency is increased by 20% and no change in their brother’s efficiency and Dinesh’s family and Gokul’s family started working together, how many days are required to complete the whole work?
