7). A number is first decreased by 30%. The decreased number is then increased by 25%. The resulting number is less than the original number by 50. Then the original number is?
8). In a train, 40% of the people are Males. 60% of the remaining are Females and the remaining 720 are children’s. Find the total number of peoples in a train?
9). Income of A is 120% of the income of B and income of C is 110% of the income of A. If the total income of A, B and C together is Rs. 88,000, then the income of C is?
10). The present population of a city is 12000. The population is increased by 10% in first year, and it is decreased by 20% in next year and third year 15% of the people is increased. What will be the population after 3 years?

1). Answer: E)
Team x = 70 %
Team y = 30 %
According to the question,
(70 % – 30 %) of the total score = 72
40 % of the total score = 72
(40/100)*total score = 72
Total score = 72*(100/40) = 180
Total score get by the winner = 180*(70/100) = 126 runs
2). Answer: B
Let the income of Guru and Vinothini be G and V,
The monthly income of Guru and Vinothini = 52200
G + V = 32000
Guru’s income = x; Vinothini’s income = 52,200 – x
New income of V = New income of G + 2784
V’s new income = (52200 – x)*112/100
G’s new income = x * 120/100
(52200 – x)* (112/100) = x * (120/100) + 2784
(5846400 – 112x)/100 = (120x/100) + 2784
(5846400 – 112x)/100 = (120x + 278400)/100
(5846400 – 112x) = (120x + 278400)
5846400 – 278400 = 112x + 120x
5568000 = 232x
Guru’s income X = (5568000/232) = 24000
Vinothini’s income = 52200 – x = 28200
New Income of Vinothini = 28200*(112/100) = Rs. 31584

The overall percentage of all three subjects together

(6x/5) + x + (33x/25) = 88000
(30x + 25x + 33x) / 25 = 88000

x = 25000
C’s income = Rs. (33/25 × 25000) = Rs. 33000
