Answers:
A, B and C together complete the work in = 6 12/43 days = 270/43
(A + B + C)’s one day work = 43/270
B’s one day work = 1/15
C’s one day work = 1/27
A’s one day work = (43/270) – (1/15 + 1/27)
= > 43/270 – 14/135 = 15/270
A can take to complete the work alone in 18 days.
1 man’s 1 day’s work= 1/60
1 woman’s 1 day’s work= 1/144
1 child’s 1day’s work= 1/240
So,
Required days = (10/60 +12/144 + 8/240)
= 1/6 + 1/12 + 1/30
= 17/60
Required days = 60/17 = 3 9/17 days
4 men = 9 boys => 1man = 9/4 boys
6 women= 9 boys => 1 woman = 3/2 boys
6 men + 4 women + 5 boys= (6×9/4) + (4×3/2) + 5 = 49/2 boys
Boys days
9 98
49/2 ?
Now, B1*D1= B2*D2
9*98=49/2*D2
D2= 36 days
(A + B + C)’s one day work = (1/15) + (1/18) + (1/24)
= > (59/360)
(A + B + C)’s 5 day work = (59/360)*5 = 59/72
Remaining work = 1 – (59/72) = 13/72
Remaining work done by A alone in,
= > (13/72)*15 = 65/24 = 2 17/24 days
Total work = 18*50 = 900 units
Remaining work = 900 – (15*40) = 300 units
Let x men be added to finish the remaining work in 6 days
(15 + x)*6 = 300
15 + x = 50
X = 50 -15 = 35
Total work = (men (or) women)*days
Work equal, so,
(7 w + 5 m)*8 = (6 w + 9 m)*6
56 w + 40 m = 36 w + 54 m
20 w= 14 m
10 w = 7 m
1 w = (7/10) m => 1m = 10/7 w
7 w + 5 m = 7 w + (50/7) w = 99/7 w
6 w + 7 m = 6 w + 10 w = 16 w
Women days
(99/7) 8
16 ?
(99/7)*8 = 16x
X= 99/14 days = 7 1/14 days
(1/15) + (1/10) + 1 boy = (1/4)
1 boy = (1/4) – [(1/15) + (1/10)]
1 boy = (1/4) – (1/6) = (6 – 4)/24 = 1/12
The share of two men and a boy = (1/15): (1/10): (1/12)
= > 4: 6: 5
15’s = 3600
1’s = 240
The share of boy = Rs. 1200
A can complete 1/3rd of the work = 5 days
A can complete the whole work in = 5*3 = 15 days
B can complete 2/5th of the work = 12 days
B can complete the whole work in =12*(5/2) = 30 days
(A + B)’s one day work = (1/15) + (1/30) = 1/10
A and B together can complete the work in, 10 days
1/x + 1/4x = 1/24 + 1/30
5/4x = 3/40
X = 50/3
Number of days taken by Aravind = 16 2/3 days
Rajiv and Rajesh worked together
1/15+1/24 = 13/120
They work for 8 days so (13/120)*8 = 26/30 = 13/15
Remaining work 2/15 done by Rajiv and Ranga.
Rajiv and Ranga finished it in 1 day
(2/15)*(Rajiv + Ranga)’s whole work = 1
(Rajiv + Ranga)’s whole work = 15/2
Ranga’s one day work = (2/15) – (1/15) = 1/15
Ranga alone can complete the work in 15 days
