Direction (1-5): Read the following information carefully and answer the questions given below.

            Twelve persons are sitting in two parallel rows containing six people in each row with equidistance from each other. In row-1, A, B, C, D, E and F are sitting and facing south. In row-2, P, Q, R, S, T and U are sitting and are facing north direction but not necessary in the same order.

            E does not face Q. T does not sit any extreme ends of the row. Q faces the person who sits second to the left of F and none of them sits at the extreme ends of the rows. E faces the person who sits third to the right of R. C sits second to the right of E. Only one person sits between D and the one who faces U. Only one person sits between T and U. As many persons sitting between U and P is same as between F and A. Q is not an immediate neighbour of P.

7) Among R, T, Y, W, U and P who is the heaviest person?

  1. Only two persons are lighter than R. Two persons are between T and U. U is lighter than R.
  2. U is heavier than only P. Only two persons are in between U and T. W is heavier than T.

8) On which month does Goel attend the meeting?

  1. Goel’s sister correctly remembers that Goel attends the meeting one of the months having 30 days in between February and July.
  2. Goel’s mother correctly remembers that Goel attends the meeting one of the months before June.

9) Six persons D, S, E, R, W and N are sitting in a straight row facing north. Who among them sits at the extreme right end of the row?

  1. N sits second to the left of W. Only two persons are sitting between E and D.
  2. R is an immediate neighbour of W. Only one person sits between W and E.

10) Six persons K, D, V, X, W and T are living in six different floors of a building. The ground floor is numbered 1, the above floor is numbered 2 and the top most floor is numbered 6. Who lives on the fifth floor?

  1. W lives on odd numbered floor. Two persons live between W and D. W does not live on lowermost floor.
  2. Two persons live between V and X. V lives above X. X does not live on lowermost floor.

Direction (1-5):

  • Q faces the person who sits second to the left of F and none of them sits at the extreme ends of the rows.

  • E faces the person who sits third to the right of R. E does not face Q. C sits second to the right of E.

  • Only one person sits between D and the one who faces U. Only one person sits between T and U. T does not sit any extreme ends of the row.

So, Case-1(b) will be dropped.

  • As many persons sitting between U and P is same as between F and A. Q is not an immediate neighbour of P.
  • So, Case-2(a) and Case-2(b) will be dropped.
