Nine people Maaran, Sahib, Manohar, Deepak, Arun, Rajan, Hemant, Bharat and Sarath stay in a building. The building has nine floors and only one person stays on one floor. Each of them plants different trees namely- Banyan Tree, Coconut Tree, Mango Tree, Neem Tree, Peepal Tree, Teak Tree, Arjuna Tree, Palm Tree and Curry Tree. Each person belongs to different states, i.e. Andra Pradesh, Punjab, Assam, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Maharashtra, Haryana, Kerala and Tamil Nadu but not necessarily in the same order. The ground floor is numbered 1, the floor above it is numbered 2, and so on, and the topmost floor is numbered 9.
The one who belongs to Kerala stays on the 4th floor. There are 4 floors between the floors on which Deepak & Hemant stay with Deepak living above Hemant. Manohar stays on the floor immediately above Bharat’s floor. The one who plants Banyan Tree stays on an even numbered floor and is a neighbour of the one who plants Coconut Tree. Sarath does not belong to Punjab. The one who belongs to Andra Pradesh stays on the topmost floor. The one who plants Arjuna Tree stays immediately below the one who plants Peepal Tree. Arun plants Palm Tree. Rajan belongs to Sikkim and stays on 8th floor. There are 3 persons between the one who plants Neem Tree and the one who plant Palm Tree. There are two floors between the floors on which people from Tamil Nadu and Kerala stay. Arun stays immediately below the floor on which the person from Rajasthan lives. The person who plants Teak Tree belongs to Punjab and stays on an odd numbered floor. Sarath stays on the bottommost floor. The person who plants Mango Tree is from Rajasthan and stays on 6th floor. The person from Haryana stays on 2nd floor. The persons from Maharashtra and Punjab are not the neighbours of the person from Rajasthan. Deepak plants Coconut Tree and Hemant does not plant Banyan Tree. Sahib does not live below the floor of Maaran.

Twelve persons are sitting in two parallel rows containing six persons each, in such a way that there is an equal distance between the adjacent persons. In row1 P, Q, R, S, T, U and V are facing south. In row2 J, K, L, M, N and O are facing north.J is sitting third to the right of M. Either M or J is sitting at the extreme ends of the row. There are seven girls Priya, Hasina, Nivetha, Ramya, Vaishnavi, Kavitha and Akila who participated in a interview which started on Monday and ended on Sunday. Eachof them attended interview on different companies TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Oracle, Tech Mahindra, Mphasis and HCL, but not necessarily in the same order. They attend interview on different cities, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, Bangalore, Ahmadabad and Mysore, but not necessarily in the same order. Hasina did not attend interview on the day either immediately before or immediately after the interview of Ramya, who does not attend the interview on either Bangalore or Mumbai or Kochi. Two interviews were held between the interview of Akila and Kavitha, neither of whom attends the interview on Monday. There was one interview between the interview of Ramya and Nivetha. But Nivetha’s interview did not happen either on Monday or on Wednesday. Nivetha attend interview on Hyderabad and attended in the TCSCompany. The one, who attended interview on Wipro Company on the last day of week, attends interview on Chennai. Vaishnaviattended interview immediately after Nivetha and she attends interview on Mumbai. Priya does not attend interview on Bangalore and attended interview on Oracle Company. Ramya did not attend interview on either HCL or Mphasis Company. The one who attend interview on Tech Mahindra Company was scheduled immediately after the interview of TCS Company. Akila, who attends the interview on Ahmadabad, attended the interview on the fourth day of the week but attended the interview on neither TCSnor Infosys Company.
