Portion of cake divided among boys is 1 -1/8=7/ 8 .

Since each got one-eighth part of the cake, number of boys = 7/8 /1 /8 = 7.

553608 = 9865 +?

? = 553608 – 9865 = 543743

3. Answer: (b)

2035 ÷ 37 × 2 + 90 = 55 × 2 + 90 = 110 + 90 = 200

4. Answer: (d)

Let the two numbers be 5x and 9x. According to the condition, 5x + 9x = 266

x = 19

Therefore, the required difference between the numbers is 9x – 5x = 4x = 4(19) = 76

Sum of all interior angles of a polygon of ‘n’ sides is (n–2) × 180^o. So, for ‘8’ sides, it is 6 × 180^o = 1080^o.

Let the numerator and denominator be x and 7x. Now, (x+5)/(7x+5)=1/2
