RRB Group D Level-1 2021 Selection Process
The exam shall be a Computer Based Test (CBT). Railway Administration reserves the right to conduct the CBT in either single or multi-stage mode. Candidates qualifying in the CBT shall have to undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). It will be followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination.
The recruitment process will involve the following stages of examination:

- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

RRB Group D 2021 Level-1 Exam Pattern
The exam shall be a Computer Based Test (CBT). Railway Administration reserves the right to conduct the CBT in either single or multi-stage mode. Candidates qualifying in the CBT shall have to undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). It will be followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination.

RRB Group D Level 1 Physical Efficiency Test:
Candidates who have qualified the stage 1 written exam will be eligible to attend the physical efficiency test. Based on the merit of the candidates in the CBT, candidates shall be called for PET Three times the community wise total vacancy of the Posts notified against RRBs. However, Railways reserve the right to increase/decrease this ratio as required to ensure the availability of adequate/reasonable number of candidates for all the notified posts. Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature. The criterion for PET is as under:
Male:
- Should be able to lift and carry 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down;
- Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.
Female:
- Should be able to lift and carry 20 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down
- Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance
RRB Group D 2021: Normalisation of Marks
Shortlisting of Candidates for various stages shall be based on the normalized marks obtained by them whenever CBT is conducted in multiple sessions for the same syllabus. The normalization scheme to be adopted for shortlisting the candidates from CBT to PET (as applicable) and for document verification is detailed below:
