The Selection Process of SBI Clerk consists of two levels, and each level must be passed by the applicant in order to receive a provisional allotment as a Junior Associate. The preliminary exam and the main exam are the two stages of the SBI Clerk selection process. The board conducts each of the three rounds independently, and each round has a minimal cutoff score. Candidates who successfully achieve the necessary cutoff score will be issued a temporary allotment by the board in the appropriate banks.

The interview, which concludes the selection process, carries 100 points. For General applicants, 40% is the cutoff score for this section. The required minimum for OBC, SC, ST, and PWBD candidates is 35%. The mains and interview have a weighting (ratio) of 80:20, respectively.
