Answers :

Direction (1-5):

Scheme A=>

No. of offices in town P = ¾ * No. of offices in town Q under scheme B — (i)

No. of offices in town R = 19/24 * No. of offices in town R under scheme C — (ii)

Total no. of offices in town P under scheme A = Total no. of offices in town R under scheme A — (iii)

Total number of offices under scheme A = 1355 — (iv)

Scheme B =>

Total number of office under scheme B = 930

No. of offices in town Q = No. of offices in town P and R together – 170

No. of offices in town P and R together = n

=> n + (n – 170) = 930

=> n = 550 = No. of offices in town P and R together

Hence the No. of offices in town Q under scheme B = 550 – 170 = 380

From (i), No. of offices in town P under scheme A = ¾ * 380 = 285

From (iii), Total no. of offices in town R under scheme A = 285

From (ii), No. of offices in town R = 19/24 * No. of offices in town R under scheme C

=> No. of offices in town R under scheme C = 24/19 * 285 = 360

From (iv), No. of offices in town Q under scheme A = 1355 – 285 – 285 = 785

No. of offices in town P under scheme B= 2/3 * No. of offices in town P under scheme C — (v)

Scheme C =>

No. of offices under scheme C = 29/31 * No. of offices under scheme B.

=>No. of offices under scheme C = 29/31 * 930 = 870

No. of office in town R under scheme C = 10 + No. of office in town R under scheme B.

Hence, No. of office in town R under scheme B = 360 – 10 = 350

No. of offices in town P under scheme B = 930 – 380 – 350 = 200

From (v), No. of offices in town P under scheme C = 3/2 * 200 = 300

No. of offices in town Q under scheme C = 870 – 300 – 360 = 210

1) Answer: B

Offices in town Q under scheme B = 150/100 * 380 = 570

Offices in town R under scheme C = 25/100 * 360 = 90

Total number of offices in 2020 for town Q under scheme B and offices for town R under scheme C = 570 + 90 = 660

From the given option, 660 offices obtained only from option B.

2) Answer: D

In Town X, the number of offices established under scheme A = 120/100 * No. of offices in town R under scheme A

= 120/100 * 285 = 342

In Town X, the number of offices established under scheme B = 80/100 * No. of offices in town Q under scheme B

= 80/100 * 380 = 304

In Town X, the number of offices established under scheme C = 840 – 342 – 304 = 194

3) Answer: A

Revenue received from town R under these three schemes = (285 * 10) + (350 * 15) + (360 * 12) = 12420 Crore = 124200 million

4) Answer: C

Average number of offices under scheme B and C for town R and town Q together = (380 + 350 + 210 + 360)/4 = 325

5) Answer: B

Total number of offices under scheme A and B together = 1355 + 930 = 2285

6) Answer: C

Required ratio = 930: 870 = 31: 29

Directions (7-10) :

7) Answer: D

Principal of Ashraf = 4/3 * 30000 = Rs.40000

Rate of interest = 120/100 * 2 = 2.4%

Interest of Ashraf = (40000 * 5 * 2.4)/100 = Rs.4800

8) Answer: C

Amount of Nilan = Rs.26500

Principal = 26500/5 = Rs.5300

n = 2 years

SI = 26500 – 5300 = Rs.21200

r = (SI * 100)/(P * n)

= (21200 * 100)/(5300 * 2) = 200%

9) Answer: A

Principal of Anu = Rs.20000

Principal of Ashok = 130/100 * 20000 = Rs.26000

Amount of Ashok = P * (1 + r/100)n

= 26000 * (1 + 3/100)2

= Rs.27583.4

10) Answer: C

r% = ¾ * 4 = 4%

Let X = Principal

Amount = Principal + SI

=> 26500 = X + (X * 2 * 3)/100

=> X = Rs.25000
