9 AM – I had reached the SBI, Local Head Office at Chennai. They told me to sit in the waiting room.
9.30 AM – Entered the hall in which the biometric verification and document verification process took place.
- Filled the biometric verification form and moved for the document verification.
- Document verification – (Biodata form, 4 copies of completely filled biodata form, original copies of 10th, 12th, graduation mark sheets, 2 character certificates, identity certificate, OBC certificate, and self-attested xerox copies of all the original certificates).
12 PM – Finished the document verification and biometric verification process.
12.30 to 1.30 – Lunch break.
3 PM – Entered the Interview hall.
Me: may I come in sir?
M1: yes, come in.
M1: take your seat.
(before sitting I wished them and took the seat.)
M1: What did you do after graduation? (as there is 6 years gap)
Me: I told my work experience and preparation for the government exams.
M1: What is a bank?
Me: A bank is a financial institution that accepts and lends money to customers.
M1: what are your hobbies?
Me: Coin collection, cricket.
M1: What is the reason for the privatization of banks?
Me: I told it was due to huge losses and NPAs.
F1: Your hobby is coin collection right? What is the term for coin collection?
Me: Numismatics.
F1: What is the currency for Hong kong?
Me: Hong Kong Dollar.
F1: What is the currency for Singapore?
Me: Singapore Dollar.
F1: What is the currency for Japan?
Me: Yen.
F1: What is the currency for Italy?
Me: Euro.
F1: What are the two stock exchanges in India?
Me: Mumbai Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange.
F1: Why do we have 2 stock exchanges? One may be enough right?
Me: No idea mam.
F2: Do you have joined any coaching classes for bank exam preparation?
Me: Yes, initially I had gone for classes for 2 months. After learning the basics, I started to prepare from my home.
