SBI PO Number of Attempts
The SBI PO eligibility criteria contains the following points:
- Nationality – Only Indian Citizens can apply.
- Age Limit – Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as of 01.04.2021 (Age Relaxation applicable as per notification).
- Educational Qualification – Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Apart from these criteria, there is a limit in the maximum number of attempts for SBI PO exam. Candidates who have already appeared for the maximum number of permissible chances are not eligible to apply. The number of chances will be counted from the examination held on 18.04.2010.

Is prelims counted as an Attempt in SBI PO?
Many candidates have a doubt whether appearing in a prelims exam will be counted as an attempt or not. the answer for this question is ‘No’. While calculating the SBI PO number of attempts, appearing in the Prelims exam will not be counted as a chance. Appearing in the Mains exam only be counted as a chance. In the years in which only one written exam has been held (i.e. no Prelims Exam has been held), appearing in this examination will be counted as a chance.
