The SSC Stenographer exam is conducted in two-tier. The tier-1 Exam is a Computer Based Test conducted online. Tier-2 is the shorthand skill test. The transcription is to be done on computer and shorthand notes will be in shorthand notepads. All the details of the SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern for Group-C & Group-D are given below.
The tier-1 exam is a computer-based exam. A total of 200 questions asked of 200 marks answered in 2 hours. The questions asked are of multiple choice. Note:
The candidates who qualify for the Computer Based Examination have to appear in the Skill Test for Stenography. The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi. The Skill Test is qualifying in nature.
The SSC stenographer tier-2 exam is a skill-based typing test. The test will be conducted both in offline and online mode. The first is a typing test on a computer, and the second is a shorthand writing test on the note pad. The skill test language can be either English or Hindi. You have to choose the language while filling the form.
For shorthand writing, the candidates will be dictated a passage at the following speed.
The candidates will have to transcribe the same of shorthand typing on the computer. The transcription time is as follows:
