Direction (1-5)
B lives on an even numbered floor. Two persons are between B and the one who got 50 marks. B lives above the one who got 50 marks. H got 35 marks and lives on 4th floor. So B either lives on 8th or 6th floor.
If B lives on 8th floor then C lives on 1st floor because the number of person lives above B is same as below C. G lives below C so that can’t be possible.
Now B lives on 6th floor and C lives on 3rd floor.
Floor | Person | Marks |
8 | ||
7 | ||
6 | B | |
5 | ||
4 | H | 35 |
3 | C | 50 |
2 | ||
1 |
G lives below C. The one who got 80 marks lives just above G so G lives on 1st floor and the one who got 80 marks lives on 2nd floor.
Floor | Person | Marks |
8 | ||
7 | ||
6 | B | |
5 | ||
4 | H | 35 |
3 | C | 50 |
2 | 80 | |
1 | G |
G got less marks than C. So G got either 40 or 45 marks. B got 10 more marks than G so if G got 40 marks than B got 50 marks but C already got 50 marks so G got 45 marks and B got 55 marks then F got 20 more marks than B so F got 75 marks.
Two persons live between A and D. D lives above A. A got less marks than F so A cannot get 80 marks then D lives on 8th floor and A lives on 5th floor now F lives on 7th floor. One person lives between F and the one who got 65 marks so A got 65 marks. Now E got 80 marks.
D got less marks than A but more than C. So D got 60 marks.
Here is the final table:
Floor | Person | Marks |
8 | D | 60 |
7 | F | 75 |
6 | B | 55 |
5 | A | 65 |
4 | H | 35 |
3 | C | 50 |
2 | E | 80 |
1 | G | 45 |
D lives on 8th floor.
Hence, option C.
E lives on 2nd floor.
Hence, option C.
Only two persons got more marks than A.
Hence, option C.
C+G=50+45=95
Hence, option A.
All the persons are staying on odd numbered floor except B.
Hence, option B.
Direction (6-10):
6. Answer: B
Statement II,
Hence, option B.
7. Answer: D
Statement IV,
Hence, option D.
8. Answer: C
Statement III,
Hence, option C.
9. Answer: A
Statement I,
Hence, option A.
10. Answer: A
