Direction (1-5): Study the information given below and answer the questions based on it.
Ten boxes namely i.e. A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J are kept from top to bottom one above another, but not necessarily in the same order. Note: Their weights are in increasing order from top to bottom so it means the box which is the lightest is kept at the top and the box which is the heaviest at the bottom position. A is 12kg and three boxes are kept between A and the one which is 22kg. Two boxes are kept between the one which is 22kg and D. The number of boxes kept above A is same as below D. H is 9kg and the sum of the weight of I and E is equal to H. Box I is lighter to E. G is 3kg heavier to A. At least one box is kept between G and the one which is 22kg. C is heavier to G but lighter to F and F is not 22kg. Box C’s weight is twice of box H’s. The number of box is kept between C and F is same as E and H. Box D’s weight is twice of box B’s. The lightest box’s weight is 4kg. (All the boxes weights are different and a whole number)
Direction (6-10) In each of the questions below are given some conclusions followed and some statements are given. You have to take the given conclusions to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts and then decide from which of the statements given definitely true.

Explanations
Direction (1-5):
The box which is at the top position we numbered it as 1st position and the box which is at the bottom position we numbered it as 10th position. The lightest box’s weight is 4kg it means that box is at the top position.
A is 12kg and three boxes are kept between A and the one which is 22kg. It means the one which is 22kg is kept below box A. Two boxes are kept between the one which is 22kg and D so either D is above or below the one which is 22kg.
The number of boxes kept above A is same as below D. So in case 1, one box is above A and one box is below A. In case 2, four boxes are above A and four boxes are below D.
H is 9kg and the sum of the weight of I and E is equal to H. It means I, E and H is above box A it means case 1 gets rejected. Box I is lighter to E.
G is 3kg heavier to A so G is 15kg it means box G is below D and above the one which is 22kg. At least one box is kept between G and the one which is 22kg. It mean box G is just below D. C is heavier to G but lighter to F and F is not 22kg. It means box F is at the bottom position and box C is either just below G or just above the one which is 22kg. Box C’s weight is twice of box H’s it means box C is 18kg so it will be just below G.
The number of box is kept between C and F is same as E and H. So E is at 2nd from the top and H is just above A. We know that I is lighter to E then I is 4kg. Now E’s weight is (box H-box I)=5kg.
Box D’s weight is twice of box B’s. Now we can see that box D weight is either 13kg or 14kg so it means D is 14kg and box B is 7kg. Then box J is 22kg. Box F is the heaviest box and its weight must be more than 22kg.
Here is the final table:
Box | Weight |
I | 4 |
E | 5 |
B | 7 |
H | 9 |
A | 12 |
D | 14 |
G | 15 |
C | 18 |
J | 22 |
F | — |
Box F is the heaviest and its weight must be more than 22kg.
Hence, option D.
Two boxes are kept between them.
Hence, option C.
Box B=7kg, Box C=18kg
=18+7=25kg
Hence, option A.
Box I is the lightest box.
Hence, option C.
Only two boxes are below C.
Hence, option B.
Direction (6-10)
Statement III,
Some busses are not trains. Some trucks are definitely not trains.
Both the conclusions are following.
Hence, option C
Statement II,
All shops being mall is not a possibility because some shops are definitely not door.
All malls being window is not a possibility.
Both the conclusions are following.
Hence, option B.
Statement II,
No fan is a table. All fans are chairs.
Both the conclusions are following.
Hence, option B.
Statement IV,
No book is a paper. Some novels are not papers.
Both the conclusions are following.
Hence, option D.
Statement III,
Some foods are not flowers. All colors can never be foods.
Both the conclusions are following.
Hence, option C.
