1). Adjourned (Verb) – स्थगित होना

Definition: (of a group of people) go somewhere for rest or refreshment.

Synonyms: withdraw, retire, retreat, beat a retreat, take oneself, decamp

Usage: they adjourned to a local pub

 

2). Afflicting (Verb) – पीड़ा देना

Definition: cause pain or trouble to; affect adversely.

Synonyms: trouble, bother, burden, distress, cause trouble to, cause suffering to

Usage: his younger child was afflicted with a skin disease

 

3). Unscathed (Verb) – बिना किसी नुकसान के

Definition: without suffering any injury, damage, or harm.

Synonyms:  unharmed, unhurt, uninjured, undamaged, in one piece, intact, safe, safe and sound

Usage: I came through all those perils unscathed

 

4). Glaringly (Adverb) — चौंधाते हुए

Definition: in a highly obvious or conspicuous manner.

Synonyms: Extremely, highly, hugely, incledibly.

Usage: the theft glaringly exposes the lack of security

 

5). Mustering (Verb) – इकट्ठा होना

Definition: assemble (troops), especially for inspection or in preparation for battle.

Synonyms:  assemble, bring together, call together, marshal, mobilize, rally, round up, raise

6). Ransom (Noun) – फिरौती

Definition: a request made in an urgent and emotional manner.

9). Repudiates (Verb) – अस्वीकार करना

Definition: refuse to accept; reject.

Synonyms: reject, renounce, abandon, forswear, give up, turn one’s back on, have nothing more

Usage: she has repudiated policies associated with previous party leaders

 

10). Fraught (Adjective) — चिंता से भरा हुआ

Definition: causing or affected by anxiety or stress.

Synonyms: anxious, worried, upset, distraught, overwrought, agitated, distressed, distracted

Usage: there was a fraught silence

 

11). Unabashed (Adjective) – अविच्चलित

Definition: not embarrassed, disconcerted, or ashamed.

Synonyms: unashamed, shameless, unembarrassed, brazen, audacious, barefaced, blatant, flagrant

Usage: he was unabashed by the furore his words provoked
