 1). Convulsed (Verb) ऐंठना

Definition:  cause (someone) to make sudden, violent, uncontrollable movements.

Synonyms: laugh uproariously, roar with laughter, hold one’s sides, be doubled up with laughter

Antonyms: harmony, peace.

Usage: she rocked backwards and forwards, convulsed with helpless mirth

 

2). Mayhem (Noun) – हाथापाई

Definition: violent or extreme disorder; chaos.

Synonyms: chaos, disorder, confusion, havoc, bedlam, pandemonium, tumult,  uproar, turmoil

Antonyms: harmony, peace, calm.

Usage: complete mayhem broke out

 

3). Manoeuvre (Noun) — पैंतरेबाज़ी

Definition: a movement or series of moves requiring skill and care.

Synonyms: operation, exercise, activity, move, movement, action

Antonyms: remains, destroy, forget, stop.

Usage: snowboarders performed daring manoeuvres on precipitous slopes

 

4). Stint (Noun) – कार्यकाल

Definition: a person’s fixed or allotted period of work.

Synonyms:  period, time, turn, run, session, term

Antonyms: permanent, static, unchanged, fixed, stable

Usage: his varied career included a stint as a magician

 

5). Channelled (Verb) – व्यक्त करें

Definition: direct towards a particular end or object.

Synonyms: convey, transmit, transport, conduct, direct, guide, bear, carry,

relay, pass on

Antonyms: divert, ridged.

Usage: many countries channel their aid through charities

 

6). Standalone (Adjective) – अलग से काम करना

Definition: able to operate independently of other hardware or software.

Synonyms: separate, unconnected, detached

Antonyms: inbuilt, embedded.

Usage: a stand-alone application

 

7). Anomalies (Noun) – विसंगतियों

Definition: something that deviates from what is standard, normal, or expected.

Synonyms: oddity, peculiarity, abnormality, irregularity, inconsistency, incongruity, deviation

Antonyms: Conformity, regularity, standard.

Usage: there are a number of anomalies in the present system

 

8). Disparities (Noun) असमानताओं

Definition: a great difference.

Synonyms: discrepancy, inconsistency, imbalance, inequality, incongruity,

unevenness

Antonyms: parity, similarity

Usage: economic disparities between different regions of the country

 

9). Dispensing (Verb) वितरित करना

Definition: manage without or get rid of.

Synonyms: distribute, pass round, pass out, hand out, deal out, dole out, share out

Antonyms: include, keep

Usage: let’s dispense with the formalities, shall we?

 

10). Backlash (Noun) प्रतिक्रिया

Definition:  a strong negative reaction by a large number of people, especially to a social or political development.

Synonyms: adverse reaction/response, counteraction, counterblast, comeback,  recoil

Antonyms: cause, question.

Usage: a public backlash against racism
