1). Suffocating (Verb) घुटन होना

Definition: die or cause to die from lack of air or inability to breathe.

Synonyms: smother, asphyxiate, stifle

Antonyms: free, loose, release.

Usage: ten detainees suffocated in an airless police cell

 

2). Eviction (Noun) — बेदखली

Definition: the action of expelling someone from a property; expulsion.

Synonyms: expulsion, ejection, ousting, throwing out, drumming out, driving out, banishing, banishment, removal, dislodgement.

Antonyms: admittance, including, receiving.

Usage: the forced eviction of residents

 

3). Utter (Adjective) – पूर्ण

Definition: complete; absolute.

Synonyms: complete, total, absolute, thorough, perfect, downright, out-and-out, outright, thoroughgoing

Antonyms: partial, part, imperfect

Usage: Charlotte stared at her in utter amazement

 

4). Remorse (Noun) – पछतावा

Definition: deep regret or guilt for a wrong committed.

Synonyms: contrition, deep regret, repentance, penitence, guilt, feelings of guilt, bad/guilty conscience

Antonyms: joy, indifference, meanness.

Usage: they were filled with remorse and shame

 

5). Humanitarian (Adjective) – मानवतावादी

Definition: concerned with or seeking to promote human welfare.

Synonyms: compassionate, humane; unselfish, altruistic, generous, magnanimous

Antonyms: unkind, egoistic, unkind, inhumane.

Usage: groups sending humanitarian aid

 

6). Carnage (Noun) – नरसंहार

Definition: the killing of a large number of people.

Synonyms: slaughter, massacre, mass murder, mass destruction, butchery,  bloodbath, indiscriminate bloodshed

Antonyms: peace, calm.

Usage: the bombing was timed to cause as much carnage as possible

 

7). Amidst (Preposition) – बीच में

Definition: in the middle of; surrounded by; among.

Synonyms:  between, inside, among.

Antonyms: corner.

Usage: Our weekends were jewels, sparkling brilliantly amidst the lonely drudgery of the rest of my week.

 

8). Depreciating (Verb) – मूल्य कम होना

Definition: diminish in value over a period of time.

Synonyms: decrease in value, lose value, decline in price, drop in price, fall in price, cheapen, devalue

Antonyms: built, construct, extend.

Usage: the latest cars will depreciate heavily in the first year

 

9). Scuppering (Verb) – तबाह करना

Definition: prevent from working or succeeding; thwart.

Synonyms:  ruin, wreck, destroy, devastate, wreak havoc on, damage,  spoil, mar, injure, blast, blight, smash

Antonyms: future, promote, float, rise.

Usage: plans for a bypass were scuppered by a public inquiry

 

10). Exodus (Noun) – लोगों का द्रव्यमान प्रस्थान

Definition: a mass departure of people

Synonyms:  mass departure, withdrawal, evacuation, leaving

Antonyms: stay, arrival, coming, entrance.

Usage: the annual exodus of sun-seeking Canadians to Florida
