1). Fractured (Verb) अस्थि भंग करना

Definition: break or cause to break.

Synonyms: break, snap, crack, cleave, rupture, shatter, smash, smash to smithereens, fragment, splinter, split

Antonyms: merge, joint, attach.

Usage: the stone has fractured

 

2). Hastily (Adverb) – जल्दी से

Definition: with excessive speed or urgency; hurriedly.

Synonyms:  quickly, hurriedly, in a hurry, fast, swiftly, rapidly, speedily, briskly,  expeditiously, without delay, post-haste

Antonyms: slowly, carefully, deliberately

Usage: maybe I acted too hastily

 

3). Thwarted (Verb) – नाकाम करना

Definition: oppose (a plan, attempt, or ambition) successfully.

Usage: a show which should entice a new audience into the theatre

 

5). Brazen (Adjective) – बेशर्म

Definition: bold and without shame.

Synonyms: bold, shameless, as bold as brass, brazen-faced, forward, presumptuous, brash, immodest, unashamed

Antonyms: timid, shy

Usage: he went about his illegal business with a brazen assurance

 

6). Clincher (Noun) – बहस

Definition: a fact, argument, or event that settles a matter conclusively.

Synonyms: debate, argument, fight.

Antonyms: speech, acceptance.

7). Pragmatism (Noun) — व्यवहारवाद

Definition: an approach that evaluates theories or beliefs in terms of the success of their practical application.

Synonyms: logical, businesslike, realistic.

Antonyms: excited, inefficient, irrational

Usage: ideology had been tempered with pragmatism

 

8). Dysfunctional (Adjective) – बेकार

Definition: unable to deal adequately with normal social relations.

Synonyms:  flawed, broken, decayed.

Antonyms: functional, adoptive, usable.

Usage: an emotionally dysfunctional businessman

 

9). Militias (Noun) – सेना

Definition: a military force that is raised from the civil population to supplement a regular army in an emergency

Usage: creating a militia was no answer to the army’s manpower problem

 

10). Sectarian (Noun) – सांप्रदायिक

Definition: a member of a sect.

Synonyms: separatist, dissenter, dissident, nonconformist, free thinker, renegade, recusant, schismatic

Antonyms: tolerant, liberal, broad-minded

Usage: a Jewish sectarian who preached the redemption of the Gentiles
