1) Interim (Noun) अंतरिम

Definition: the intervening time

Synonyms: meantime, meanwhile, intervening time, interval, interlude

Antonyms: permanent, finished, continual

Usage: in the interim I’ll just keep my fingers crossed

 

2). Augment (Verb) आगम करना

Definition: make (something) greater by adding to it; increase

Synonyms: increase, make larger, make bigger, make greater, add to, supplement, top up

Antonyms: decrease, discourage, compress, contract

Usage: augment the purchase of stocks

 

3). Implausible (Adjective) असंभव

Definition: (of an argument or statement) not seeming reasonable or probable; failing to convince

Synonyms: unlikely, not likely, improbable, questionable, doubtful, debatabl

Antonyms: plausible, convincing

Usage: this is a blatantly implausible claim

 

4). Reign (Verb) राज्यकाल

Definition: be the best or most important in a particular area or domain

Synonyms: incumbent, current, in office, presiding, in power

Antonyms: impotence, dominance, ascendency, authority

Usage: the reigning world champion

 

5). Revitalize (Verb) पुनर्जीवित   करना

Definition: imbue (something) with new life and vitality

Synonyms: reinvigorate, re-energize, brace, fortify, strengthen

Antonyms: depress

Usage: a package of spending cuts to revitalize the economy

 

6). Mortal (adjective) नश्वर

Definition: causing or liable to cause death; fatal

Synonyms: deadly, fatal, lethal, death-dealing, killing, murderous

Antonyms: good, harmless, trivial, life-giving, unimportant

Usage: a mortal disease

 

7). Sustain (Verb) बनाए रखना

Definition:  strengthen or support physically or mentally

Synonyms:  comfort, help, assist, encourage, succour, support, give strength to

Antonyms: torment, plague

Usage: this thought had sustained him throughout the years

 

8). Stake (Verb) दांव लगाना

Definition: mark an area with stakes so as to claim ownership of it.

Synonyms: mark off, mark out, demarcate, mark the boundaries/limits of, outline

Antonyms: whole, safety, displace

Usage: the boundary between the two manors was properly staked out

 

9). Persuade (Verb) – राज़ी करना

Definition: induce (someone) to do something through reasoning or argument

Synonyms: prevail on, talk someone into, coax, convince, make, get, press someone into, induce

Antonyms: dissuade, discourage, deter

Usage: it wasn’t easy, but I persuaded him to do the right thing

 

10). Sack (Verb) निकाल देना

Definition: dismiss from employment

Synonyms:  dismiss, give someone their notice, throw out, get rid of, lay off,

Antonyms: hire, take on

Usage: any official found to be involved would be sacked on the spot
