1). Regime (Noun) शासन

Definition: a government, especially an authoritarian one.

Synonyms:  government, authorities, system of government, rule, reign, dominion, sovereignty, jurisdiction, authority, control, command

Antonyms: chaos, disorder, anarchy, confusion

Usage: ideological opponents of the regime

 

2). Unanimous (Adjective) सर्वसम्मत

Definition:  (of two or more people) fully in agreement

Synonyms: united, in complete agreement, in complete accord, of one mind, like-minded,

Antonyms: divided, at odds

Usage: the doctors were unanimous in their diagnoses

 

3). Uphill (Adjective) कठिन

Definition: requiring great effort; difficult

Synonyms: arduous, difficult, hard, tough, taxing, demanding, exacting, stiff, formidable,

Antonyms: downhill, easy

Usage: an uphill struggle to gain worldwide recognition

 

4). Cognizant (Adjective) जानकार

Definition: having knowledge or awareness

Synonyms: aware, conscious, apprised, abreast

Antonyms: ignorant, senseless, unaware, unmindful

Usage: statesmen must be cognizant of the political boundaries within which they work

 

5). Relinquish (Verb) त्यागना

Definition: voluntarily cease to keep or claim; give up

Synonyms: renounce, give up, part with, give away

Antonyms: keep, retain, continue

Usage: he relinquished his managerial role to become chief executive

 

6). Perversity (Noun) प्रतिकूलता

Definition: a deliberate desire to behave in an unreasonable or unacceptable way; contrariness

Definition: a system of government by one person with absolute power

Antonyms: democracy

Usage: the Grand Duchy of Tuscany was an autocracy

 

9). Depose (Verb) उपदस्थ करना

Definition: remove from office suddenly and forcefully.

Synonyms: overthrow, overturn, topple, bring down, remove from office, remove, unseat, dethrone, supplant, displace

Antonyms: allow, obey, promote, upgrade

Usage: he had been deposed by a military coup

 

10). Seek (Noun) मांगना

Definition: ask for (something) from someone

Synonyms:  ask for, request, solicit, call on, invite, entreat, beg for, petition for, appeal for, apply for, put in for

Antonyms: ignore, shun, answer, neglect

Usage: he sought help from the police
