1). Cordial (Adjective) सौहार्दपूर्ण

Definition: warm and friendly

Synonyms: friendly, warm, genial, affable, amiable, pleasant, fond, affectionate, warm-hearted, good-natured, gracious, hospitable

Antonyms: cold, disagreeable, rude, sad

Usage: the atmosphere was cordial and relaxed

 

2). Substantial (Adjective) काफ़ी महत्वपूर्ण

Definition:  of considerable importance, size, or worth

Synonyms: considerable, real, material, weighty, solid, sizeable, meaningful, significant, important, notable, major, marked, valuable

Antonyms: insubstantial, worthless

Usage: a substantial amount of cash

 

3). Surplus (Noun) अधिशेष

Definition: an amount of something left over when requirements have been met; an excess of production or supply.

Synonyms: excess, surfeit, overabundance, superabundance, superfluity, oversupply

Antonyms: dearth, shortage, lack

Usage: exports of food surpluses

 

4). Distress (Noun) संकट

Definition: extreme anxiety, sorrow, or pain

Synonyms:anguish, suffering, pain, agony, ache, affliction, torment, torture, discomfort, heartache, heartbreak

Antonyms: advantage, cheer, aid, comfort, gladness, calm

Usage: to his distress he saw that she was trembling

 

5). Litigation (Noun) – मुक़दमेबाज़ी

Definition: the process of taking legal action

Synonyms: legal action, lawsuit, legal dispute, legal case, case

Antonyms: cohesion, compromise, accord

Usage: the company wishes to avoid litigation

 

6). Dilapidated (Adjective) जीर्ण

Definition: (of a building or object) in a state of disrepair or ruin as a result of age or neglect.

Synonyms: tumbledown, ramshackle, broken-down, in disrepair, shabby, battered, rickety, shaky, unsound

Antonyms: smart, intact

Usage: old, dilapidated buildings

 

7). Emphasize (Verb) – को महत्तव देना

Definition:  give special importance or value to (something) in speaking or writing

Synonyms:   highlight, point up, spotlight, foreground, play up, make a point of

Antonyms: understate, play down

Usage: they emphasize the need for daily, one-to-one contact between parent and child

 

8). Stalemate (Noun) गतिरोध

Definition: a situation in which further action or progress by opposing or competing parties seems impossible.

Synonyms: deadlock, impasse, standstill, dead end, stand-off, draw, tie, dead heat

Antonyms: advance, headway, progress

Usage: the talks had reached a stalemate

 

9). Descent (Noun) अवरोहण

Definition: an act of moving downwards, dropping, or falling.

Synonyms: going down, coming down; drop, fall, sinking, subsiding; dive, pitch, slump

 Antonyms: ascent, climb

Usage: the plane had gone into a steep descent

 

10). Chaos  (Noun) – गोलमाल

Definition: complete disorder and confusion.

Synonyms:  disorder, disarray, disorganization, confusion, mayhem, bedlam, pandemonium, madness, havoc

Antonyms: order, orderliness

Usage: snow caused chaos in the region
