1). Admonish (Verb) – धिक्कारना

Definition: advise or urge (someone) earnestly

Synonyms:advise, recommend, urge, caution, warn, counsel, exhort, implore, beseech, entreat, encourage, bid, enjoin, adjure, push, pressure

Antonyms: allow, flatter, compliment, laud, permit

Usage: she admonished him to drink no more than one glass of wine

 

2). Procurement (Noun) – प्राप्त करना या खरीदना

Definition:  the action of obtaining or procuring something

Synonyms: acquisition, appropriation, attainment, acquirement

Antonyms: discourage, hinder, forfeit, lose, prevent

Usage: financial assistance for the procurement of legal advice

 

3). Remuneration (Noun) पारिश्रमिक

Definition: money paid for work or a service

Synonyms: payment, pay, salary

Antonyms: non-payment, penalize, punishment

Usage: they work in excess of their contracted hours for no additional remuneration

 

4). Endeavour (Verb) प्रयास करना

Definition: try hard to do or achieve something.

Antonyms: idleness, inactivity, passivity

Usage: he is endeavouring to help the Third World

 

5). Concomitant (Adjective) सहवर्ती

Definition: naturally accompanying or associated

Synonyms: attendant, accompanying, associated, collateral, related, connected

Antonyms: unrelated, chance, accidental

Usage: she loved travel, with all its concomitant worries

 

6). Distortion (Noun) विरूपण

Definition: the action of distorting or the state of being distorted.

Synonyms: warp, twist, contortion, bend, buckle, deformation, deformity, curve, curvature, malformation, disfigurement

Antonyms: beauty, clarity, perfection

Usage: the virus causes distortion of the leaves

 

7). Onerous (Adjective) कष्टदायक

Definition: (of a task or responsibility) involving a great deal of effort, trouble, or difficulty.

Synonyms:burdensome, heavy, inconvenient, troublesome, awkward, crushing, back-breaking, oppressive;

Antonyms: easy, effortless

Usage: he found his duties increasingly onerous

 

8). Jeopardize (Verb) – ख़तरे में डालना

Definition: put (someone or something) into a situation in which there is a danger of loss, harm, or failure.

Synonyms: threaten, endanger, imperil, menace, risk

Antonyms: protect, caution, save

Usage: a devaluation of the dollar would jeopardize New York’s position as a financial centre

 

9). Reluctant (Adjective) अनिच्छुक

Definition: unwilling and hesitant; disinclined.

Synonyms: unwilling, disinclined, unenthusiastic, grudging, resistant, resisting, opposed, antipathetic

 Antonyms: willing, eager, ready

Usage: today, many ordinary people are still reluctant to talk about politics

 

10). Perilous (Adjective) – ख़तरा और जोखिम  से भरा हुआ

Definition: full of danger or risk

Synonyms: dangerous, fraught with danger, hazardous, risky, unsafe, treacherous

Antonyms: safe, secure

Usage: a perilous journey south
