1). Overshadow (Verb) – छाया में रखना

Definition: tower above and cast a shadow over

Synonyms: shade, darken, conceal, obscure, block out, obliterate, eclipse, screen, shroud, veil, mantle, cloak, mask

Antonyms: clear, explain, brighten

Usage: an enormous oak tree stood overshadowing the cottage

 

2). Allegation (Noun) आरोप

Definition:  a claim or assertion that someone has done something illegal or wrong, typically one made without proof.

Synonyms: claim, assertion, declaration, statement, proclamation, contention, argument, affirmation, averment

Antonyms: exculpation, denial

Usage: he made allegations of corruption against the administration

 

3). Accusation (Noun) दोषारोप

Definition: a charge or claim that someone has done something illegal or wrong.

Synonyms:allegation, charge, claim, assertion, asseveration, attribution, incrimination, imputation, denouncement, indictment, arraignment, citation

Antonyms: absolve, clear, exonerate

Usage: accusations of bribery

 

4). Surreal (Adjective) – असली

Definition: having the qualities of surrealism; bizarre

Synonyms:  unreal, dreamlike, fantastical, strange

Antonyms: real, natural, veritable, actual, normal

Usage: a surreal mix of fact and fantasy

 

5). Contentious (Adjective) – विवादास्पद

Definition: causing or likely to cause an argument; controversial

Synonyms: controversial, disputable, debatable, disputed, contended, open to question/debate, moot, vexed

Antonyms: nonaggressive, peaceable, uncombative, uncontentious

Usage: a contentious issue

 

6). Suspicion (Noun) संदेह

Definition: a feeling or thought that something is possible, likely, or true

Synonyms:intuition, feeling, impression, inkling, surmise, guess, conjecture, speculation, hunch, fancy, notion, supposition, view, belief, idea, conclusion, theory, thesis, hypothesis

Antonyms: believing, careless, certain, confident, convinced, heedless, inattentive

Usage: she had a sneaking suspicion that he was laughing at her

 

7). Unscrupulous (Adjective) – नीतिज्ञानहीन

Definition: having or showing no moral principles; not honest or fair.

Synonyms:unprincipled, unethical, immoral, amoral, conscienceless, untrustworthy, shameless, reprobate, exploitative, corrupt

Antonyms: ethical, honest

Usage: unscrupulous landlords might be tempted to harass existing tenants

 

8). Contaminant (Noun) संदूषक

Definition: a polluting or poisonous substance that makes something impure

Synonyms: contagion, corruption, epidemic, infection

Antonyms: cleanliness, sterility, purification, cure

Usage: people were exposed to airborne contaminant

 

9). Allay (Verb) – निराकरणकरना

Definition: diminish or put at rest (fear, suspicion, or worry

Synonyms: reduce, diminish, decrease, lessen, assuage, alleviate, ease, relieve, soothe, soften, take the edge off, dull, cushion, mollify, moderate

 Antonyms: increase, intensify

Usage: the report attempted to educate the public and allay fears

 

10). Stoke (Verb) – प्रोत्साहित या उत्तेजित करें

Definition: encourage or incite (a strong emotion or tendency)

Synonyms:  feed, incite, inflame, sustain, charge

Antonyms: de-energize, deplete, discourage

Usage: his composure had the effect of stoking her anger
