1). Condemned (Verb) – की निंदा करना

Definition: express complete disapproval of; censure.

Synonyms: censure, criticize, castigate, attack, denounce, deplore, decry,  revile, inveigh against, blame, chastise

Antonyms: encourage, praise, commend

Usage: most leaders roundly condemned the attack

 

2). Mettle (Noun) – भावना

Definition: a person’s ability to cope well with difficulties; spirit and resilience.

Synonyms:  spirit, fortitude, tenacity, strength of character, moral fibre, steel,  determination, resolve, resolution

Antonyms: timidity, apathy, weakness.

Usage: the team showed their true mettle in the second half

 

3). Ruthlessly (Adverb) — बेरहमी के साथ

Definition: without pity or compassion for others.

Synonyms: merciless, pitiless, cruel, heartless, hard-hearted, hard, stony-hearted, stony, with a heart of stone

Antonyms: compare, merciful.

Usage: they fell prey to money lenders who ruthlessly exploited them

 

4). Fixture (Noun) — एक विशेष तारीख पर होने वाली खेल आयोजन की व्यवस्था की गई

Definition: a sporting event arranged to take place on a particular date.

Synonyms: match, race, game, competition, contest, meet, meeting, encounter,

sporting event; clash

Antonyms: movable

Usage: the team’s last away fixture of the season

 

5). Reliant (Adjective) — निर्भर

Definition: dependent on someone or something.

Synonyms: depending, counting, depending,

Antonyms: irrelevant, independent.

Usage: the company is heavily reliant on the baby market

 

6). Curious (Adjective) — उत्सुक

Definition: strange; unusual.

Synonyms:  strange, odd, peculiar, funny, unusual, bizarre, weird, eccentric, queer, unexpected, unfamiliar, extraordinary

Antonyms: ordinary, same.

Usage: a curious sensation overwhelmed her

 

7). Intrusive (Adjective) — बिना अधिकार के प्रवेश करनेवाला

Definition: causing disruption or annoyance through being unwelcome or uninvited.

Synonyms: intruding, invasive, obtrusive, interrupting, trespassing, unwanted, unwelcome

Antonyms: unobtrusive

Usage: that was an intrusive question

 

8). Couched (Verb) – अभिव्यक्त करना

Definition: express (something) in language of a specified style.

Synonyms:  express, phrase, word, frame, put, formulate, style, render, set forth, put across, convey

Usage: the assurances were couched in general terms

 

9). Gratuitous (Adjective) – निःशुल्क

Definition: given or done free of charge.

Synonyms:  free, gratis, complimentary, voluntary, volunteer, unpaid, unrewarded

Antonyms: justifiable, necessary.

Usage: solicitors provide a form of gratuitous legal advice

 

10). Unconstitutional (Adjective) — असंवैधानिक

Definition: not in accordance with the political constitution or with procedural rules.

Synonyms:  banned, illicit, prohibited.

Antonyms: authorized, ethical, legal.

Usage: they do not countenance unconstitutional action by the police

 

11). Assertion (Noun) — अभिकथन

Definition: a confident and forceful statement of fact or belief.

Synonyms: declaration, contention, statement, claim, submission, postulation,

averment, opinion, proclamation

Antonyms: quiet, silence.

Usage: his assertion that his father had deserted the family

 

12). Solidarity (Noun) — एकजुटता

Definition:  unity or agreement of feeling or action, especially among individuals with a common interest; mutual support within a group.

Synonyms:  unanimity, unity, like-mindedness, agreement, accord, harmony,  consensus, concord, concurrence

Antonyms: divorce, disagreement.

Usage: factory workers voiced solidarity with the striking students

 

13). Denied (Verb) – निषेध करना

Definition: state that one refuses to admit the truth or existence of.

Synonyms:  contradict, repudiate, gainsay, declare untrue, dissent from, disagree with, challenge, contest

Antonyms: accept, confirm.

Usage: both firms deny any responsibility for the tragedy
