1) Peril (Noun) — गंभीर और तत्काल खतरा
Definition: Serious and immediate danger.
Synonyms: Anger, Jeopardy, Risk,
Antonyms: Safety, Security
Usage: President Sirisena’s actions have put Sri Lankan democracy in peril
2) Plunge (Verb) — कूद पड़ना
Definition: Jump or dive quickly and energetically.
Synonyms: Hurl oneself, Throw oneself, Fling oneself, Launch oneself, Catapult oneself
Antonyms: Ascent, Rise, Increase
Usage: Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has plunged the country into a political crisis.
3) Manoeuvre (Verb) — पैंतरेबाज़ी करना
Definition: Move skillfully or carefully.
Synonyms: Steer, Guide, Drive, Negotiate, Navigate
Antonyms: Cessation, Ignorance
Usage: His sudden and secret manoeuvre caught everyone, including senior politicians, completely unawares.
4) Garner (Verb) — संचित करना
Definition: Gather or collect (something, especially information or approval).
Synonyms: Gather, Collect, Accumulate, Amass
Antonyms: Spend, Disperse, Distribute
Usage: By suspending Parliament, Mr. Sirisena is seen to have exposed his own insecurity about garnering the required strength.
5) Plummet (Verb) — मूल्य या राशि में तेजी से कमी होना
Definition: Decrease rapidly in value or amount

7) Clout (Noun) — प्रभाव
Definition: Influence or power, especially in politics or business
Synonyms: Influence, Power, Pull, Weight, Sway, Leverage
Antonyms: Helplessness, Impotence, Impotency, Powerlessness, Weakness
Usage: The best forum to test political clout in a democracy is the legislature.
8) Thugger (Noun) — हिंसक व्यवहार
Definition: Violent behaviour, especially of a criminal nature.

Definition: Convene or cause to convene again, especially after a pause in proceedings.
