Eligibility Criteria:

Here we present the eligibility criteria details of UPPCL JE Recruitment 2020. The eligibility factors are,

  1. Age
  2. Educational Qualification

Age:

  • Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 01.01.2020.
  • Age Relaxation for candidates with Apprenticeship training under Apprenticeship Act, 1961- Actual period, subject to maximum 24 months.
  • The age relaxation for SC, ST & OBC (NCL) of Uttar Pradesh domicile- 5 years.
  • Age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen who had served a minimum of 5 years in the Armed Forces of India (Completed service years + Three years) – Maximum 15 years.
  • Dependents of freedom fighters will have an age relaxation for 5 years.
  • Age relaxation for Physically Handicapped (OA/OL/PB/PD only)- 15 years
However, the maximum age of a candidate availing all relaxation should not exceed 55 years.

Junior Engineer (Trainee) Electrical:

To apply for UPPCL JE recruitment 2020, a candidate must have passed

  • Three years Diploma examination in Electrical Engineering from the Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, or a Diploma, equivalent thereto, with the State Government recognition.

  • “Three years All India Diploma Examination in Electrical Engineering from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Govt of India”.

  • Diploma Examination in Electrical Engineering from any of the Universities in India incorporated by an Act of the Central/State legislature

Note: Diploma received through Distance Learning Education will not be eligible.

Junior Engineer (Trainee) Electronics / Telecommunication:

To apply for UPPCL JE recruitment 2020, a candidate must have passed

  • Three years Diploma examination in Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering from the Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, or a Diploma, equivalent thereto, with the State Government recognition.

Selection Process:

The UPPCL JE recruitment 2020 selection process involves a Computer-based test (CBT) and document verification.

  • Total marks for the test – 200 marks.
  • Time duration- 3 hrs.
  • Diploma level Engineering branch – 150 questions.
  • General knowledge/awareness – 20 questions.
  • Reasoning – 20 questions.
  • General Hindi – 10 questions.
  • Negative mark of each wrong answer – 0.25.
